Frankie is a fighter. He is a small dude (158 lbs), he may be one of the smallest fighter in the LW division. I respect the fact that he is fighting at his weight eve tho he could easily be fighting in the WEC 145 division. Having said that I would like to see how he handles the larger lightweights in his division. Frankie impressed me with his speed, discipline, and game plan. Well done!!
Whoever scored it 50-45. I would like to smoke what he was smoking. No way it was like that (IMO). I scored it 48-47 and it was mostly coz of the take downs. other than that it was a very difficult fight to score.

@TapAmericana nice thnx for the info. I just think that cardio was an issue for Penn again this time. b/c the first 2 rounds Penn in my opinion had the edge. His boxing was superb. 3rd and 4th was pretty even and the 5th round is where his boxing looked sloppy, and Frankie's footwork is too much for him at that point.

Frankie is a fighter. He is a small dude (158 lbs), he may be one of the smallest fighter in the LW division. I respect the fact that he is fighting at his weight eve tho he could easily be fighting in the WEC 145 division. Having said that I would like to see how he handles the larger lightweights in his division. Frankie impressed me with his speed, discipline, and game plan. Well done!!

Whoever scored it 50-45. I would like to smoke what he was smoking. No way it was like that (IMO). I scored it 48-47 and it was mostly coz of the take downs. other than that it was a very difficult fight to score.
BJ should have listened to his corner and take it to the ground. He will be back. But I also want to congratulate Frankie on his performance and discipline.

What the fuck are you talking about? There was only two takedowns the whole fight and one of them was a slip. Frankie Edgar only got one legitimate takedown and he didn't do anything to capatilize them. I don't think Frankie Edgar one half a round. Don't talk about speed cause he wasn't doing anything with that either and BJ landed way more solid punches than Frankie Edgar. The UFC judges aren't judges bottom line.

Ok the fight wasn´t a 50-45, but Frankie was the better fighter this time and he got better cardio.
I mean just look at his movement in the fight, this dude got cardio.
He fought 5 rounds in the same pace and didn´t get tired.
Penn didn´t do too much but throwing some jabs and hooks, still he got very tired and didn´t do very much in the 4th and 5th round.
To Penn fans, stop whining just cos he lost a fight, he´s just a man and can be defeated even at 155.

I think BJ won the First Three rounds and Edgar won the Last Two. UFC is officially rigged. One of the judges scored it 50 to 45 Edgar. BULLSHIT! Edgar didn't win all the rounds. It should of been BJ Penn by Unanimous decision or Frankie Edgar by a Fake Ass Split Decision. UFC is shit at scoring.

If you're defending the belt and show up out of shape against a hungry challenger, you deserve to lose. Maybe penn should focus on his opponent at hand and not worry about moving up to WW unless he plans to move up and stay there.

UFC 112 won't be much competitive at all. The Spider will win EZ. While Frankie is a great fighter and he did a great job against Sherk, he won't be able to do the same to Penn because of Penn' superior stand up game and ground game. not to mention the wealth of experiences BJ possesses.
