@Zeruckiven It happens. She spawns there in Hector's story. Talk to her with a strong enough Bartre and they fight. If both of them survive (give Bartre the iron rune and no weapons,) she joins you.

She's pretty and her relationship with Bartre is nice, but she's not very good. You'll have lots of good sword units by this point, and she has TERRIBLE (10%) defense growth.

@Seisaku22 She's only obtainable in Hector's story, you have to get Bartre up to at least a level 5 Warrior and have him participate in that chapter, then she appears there. Talk to her and a fight will initiate. Both must survive one round and then she joins.

Actually, that's mostly because Bartre has TERRIBLE base stats, but his growths are quite alright.

His base speed is 3 though... so it's quite easy for him to get screwed in that department.

not true my friend, not true...the REAL way to "choose" between Harken or Karel is affected by how many doors you open by a certain point (i think turn 7 or 9?), the only thing that changes depending on if ur magic users total levels are higher than your heroes warriors and swordmasters (or vice versa) is your boss, either the Bishop (kenneth) or the ranged sword weilding assassin (cant remember his name)

He isn't actually in the arena, it's just that Karla appears on that one spot (the one above the entrance to the arena) and you have to talk to her, so it looked like he was fighting in the arena.

I don't think Karla is dead, a unit disappearing doesn't necessarily mean death (eg. Matthew in Lyn's story, Dart in stage 16x/17x) and Bartre even said "The next match determines the winner!" so she probably retreated.
