  • The turbanned gut at 0.41? There's few things that do, but he makes me proud to be British.

  • Fuck The Police...

  • 讚!

  • Do some of those documentary fragments of the police come from the Battle of the Beanfield?

  • @SoapClawtooth No they're from a documentary that was done from a channel 4 documentary that was done at Glastonbury 1992. It was to highlight the ongoing dispute between Michael Eavis and the residents of Glastonbury that seem to go on every year. The whole of the documentary is on Youtube somewhere but unfortunately I've forgotten the name of it, I'm sure if you search with Michael Eavis it'll show up.

    Great days

  • Oh yeah public school educated Jeremy asking why the travellers weren't allowed into the festival site free of charge.Of course travellers are way too cool to buy their own ticket.

  • underrated band, seriously great

  • I don't think they're underrated, just that the people who like them are rather underground instead of go crazy for them on the net. :-)

  • The most awesome band in the universe - seeing this makes you realise that no matter what the state tries to do to oppress people and their lifestyles they will never take away our spirit.

  • makes you want to protest about something!

  • The footage is from The Glastonbury movie, nothing to do with one-sided anything! The political aspect is part of the Levellers, both historical and the band.

  • fucking class.

which i was my age back then

  • why play where travelers aren't welcome? you totally missed the point, glory alongside a forgotten cause

  • What year was this? mid-90s?

  • 1991

  • Thanks : )

  • it was in 1994, oclandestin. one of the best live bands at (overthefence)glastonbury

  • Thanks. My first Glastonbury was 1995 so I must have missed seeing them. It's a shame Glastonbury is no longer easy to get into for free... it's changed the atmosphere. Not nearly as good.

  • looking at it again, i think it was 1991, but they did play again in 94

  • I agree with carpcrusader the sound wasn't the best on the leftfield stage at Glasto for the Levs. Beautiful Days will be the one to see them at - not long to go now, yay.

  • I was at Beautiful Days! The Levellers were amazing as always.....

Shame about the weather though :S

  • They played the Leftfield stage Thursday night it was a good set but the sound quality in there was crap. Great festival though!

  • what stage did they play at this year? i missed them :(

but i saw loadsa other legends :D like neville staples and eddy grant :D

  • wooooo seeing them AT GLASTONBURY in less than a week!!! god knows how many times ive seen them!

  • Was this festival for something? why the brutality of police? nice video, drunk crusties on folk music! yeah

  • Brilliant video, brilliant song.

  • I was there going crazy with one of those lighted torch things, cidered up and stoned, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
