Where the #$%& does Bill O'Reilly get his flow of logic from? The lawyer did fairly well, holding up to O'Reilly's usual barrage of spins & interruptions...O'Reilly was just embarrassing.
I think O'Reilely is unprofessional and obnoxious. He keeps on asking the same stupid questions over and over again, and he tries to curb questions in such a way that tries to make the interviewee look bad. When this doesn't happen, he interupts and resorts to personal childish name callings. What a moron.
This lawyer is brilliant. He's not being biased as an American and is being neutral (exactly what his job is to be) and is doing what his job is to do: give the accused a fair trial.
@cbfd234 Actually it is The O'Reilly factor is a commentary show where he presents his view and his guest presents theres its called a debate there buddy, maybe you should know what your talking about before you say stupid shit.
Bill O'Reilly is such a dick. "Do you think there's any justification 2 kill thousands of innocent people", erm America have killed millions of innocent Iraqi and Afghan people but thats ok isint it, as long as there not american. Fucking dick, 9/11 was an inside job.
3 QUESTIONS 911 TRUTHERS DON'T WANT YOU TO ASK THEM:
Since the govt. committed 9/11, why arent truthers demanding the release of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed who is on trial for his life for a crime truthers claim he did not commit?
If there was no flight 93, please explain how 95% of the plane debris was recovered?
If there was no flight 77, please explain how 130+ witnesses reported seeing a plane?
@AnnonamusKillah Yea those guys who killed themselves did it for the sake of the CIA and George W Bush, not Allah. Make sense much? I didn't think so.
O'reilly knows damn well this guy is just doing his job. This is nothing more then pathetic hate-mongering. Even mass murderers are entitled to fair trials, and he is there to ensure it, not to set this monster free. Bill is either the most shameless liar I have ever seen, or his mind works like if he was 10. Either way, he doesn't belong on a news network.
The U.S. has a system which very well might (and I dare say does) let criminals go free. Also a principle that the U.S. holds is freedom and rights, of course the right to counsel is one of these principles. The fact that we can stand by this principle, even for the most sinister of human beings, is something far more beautiful and powerful than anything a deranged terrorist can do.
Bill is very good at what he does, he kind of feeds people opinions subliminally, he uses fear, fear being that of being an outsider or holding views which are not patriotic or fear of being a looney or a nut job, he constantly throws out this normal, be this he says, be this normal, this is normal.
I respect this man zspark are you out of your damn mind. At what point did we lose our morals. I respect the laws of our land but i respect human life more. I would never not for all the money in the world defend people who are in the business of killing people in order to spread hate and propoganda. This man should be ashamed of himself and so should all of you who defend him, Protecting the law give me a freaking break
Do you not understand that HE had nothing to do with giving these guys the rights of an American citizen? It was out of his hands. "Part of being a lawyer is a belief in the Judicial system. The belief is that if everyone does there best in the processes determined by the constitution and those who decide how to interpret it, then justice will be served. Whether or not it is right is not up to him. If lawyers proceeded that way then the judicial system would crumble".
@guywithmac still its a matter of what that lawyer believes is right. He has the choice to choose whether or not be his lawyer. Just the fact that he chose to defend the terrorist says a lot about his character.
@wilskate4f0od i understand your point. But I think its says more about his commitment to the law, not to the defendant. and its not like they have a chance of getting off. so its more about giving them a fair trial in my opinion.
You are calling someone a terrorist simply because....our govt. says he is? I wouldn't trust my govt. to wash my car.
Everyone is incident until proven guilty, not to mention has the right to due process.(Which we have not done in many cases since 9/11) I am not defending KSM but when you are water boarded, it holds no credibility. Why you think we don't do it here? I could make you confess to anything I wanted you to say, does it mean you actually did it? Of course not.
Bill accomplished nothing. Everything was already obvious. The attorney is doing his job and upholding American justice. The guy is guilty so justice will be served. If Bill actually did crack the guy, defense could would go for mistrial. Pointless.
911 happened because of the US Federal State occupying the Arabian Peninsula(using this to attack Iraq in the 1990's, among others) and the US funding Israel.
Bill did indeed destroy that vermin! I hope he has a terrible career and spends his life as a lawyer working at nothing more than a public defender. Anyone who would rejoice after freeing a terrorist involved in the deaths of civilians in any country should be full of shame! I despise truthers and ridiculous conspiracy theorists, they are the scum of the Earth.
I wouldn't say he destroyed the lawyer. I'd say he acted like an asshole, preying on the emotional appeal of 9/11. He knows the lawyer isn't going to defend killing thousands, and he also knows the lawyer isn't going going against his own client. It's a lose-lose for the lawyer, and he made the best of it by trying to be diplomatic. The question is not whether killing is right or wrong, it's whether the client is guilty or not. And O'reilly was trying to make the former the "question".
everyday i realize more and more how deranged orielly is. He is upset about innocent lives being taken on 9/11, but he is ok with the hundreds of thousands of innocent deaths in Iraq. A country that had nothing to do with 9/11.
ANd he is ok with how Isreal has been handling the whole palestinian situation. THis man would have been a nazi if he was born in germany during those times. Blind faith for a flag is most dangerous.
He helped push the lies that got us into this war on terror
It was an inside job. When an aircraft changes it course dramatically for more than 30 minutes in Asia and Europe there will be a fighter jet tailing it. It didn't happen on 9/11 ? Why not ? Because the US government was behind it.

That attorney kicks ass! He wasn't rattled by Bill's bullshit at all. I'm glad there are honorable AMericans like him that believe in the American judicial system. Apparently Bill O'Fucktard thinks we should take a shit on the American Judicial system and wipe our ass with the constitution.
Anybody who stands up for a terrorist is a traitor. This is the reason we haven't won these wars in the Middle-East. Unarguably, America was it's strongest during WWII era. Everyone worked together. We realized things must change for war, and we did everything to win and dominate. DId we give nice, fun, fair, and nice little trials to conspiracists of the Pearl Harbor attacks? baha. I'm sorry to say that America has become a nation of pussies and bitches in the last 50 years.
@throwdown47 You're the fucking traitor you pig. Why? Because you want to destroy the constitution. You would fit right in with all the enemies we fought in WWII because they too didn't believe in the ideals of freedom and democracy that the constitution embodies. If you want to destroy the constitution you want to destroy America...guess what? Get the fuck out if that's how you feel you fucking treasonous unamerican pig.
If you even bothered to pay attention in school you would know that there are HUGE differences between WWII and The "War on Terrorism". In WWII we were attacked by a NATION, not just an extremist group. This made it easy to rally citizens. Go out on the street and ask people who we are fighting. They say "terrorists". Ask them to be specific and they can't really. Also during WWII we pulled out of the depression, and being one of the few super powers left we could keep it that way.
The reason NO war has ever really been won in the middle east is the continued involvement of super powers. This keeps the region off balance, and all these little splinter groups from being destroyed, or vindicated. It has been like this since the crusades. Read up on history and economics a little before you try offering your opinion on the most unstable part of the planet.
Well, I feel sorry for this guy. I think we all know how he feels. and we all know he cant come out and say what he wants to say. SO i think its crazy they let mister bill get an attitude about this.
@odogun You want his family to die in a terrorist attack? Why? He's doing his job - representing his client. He can't get on t.v. and talk trash about them - that's not exactly an ethical thing for a lawyer to do. These individuals are going to be tried in a civilian court (whether or not they should be is another discussion), and as a result not only need but are *required* to have representation (unless they represent themselves). Why is he a bastard for carrying out that task?
What the hell's his problem. O'reilly has got a post secondary education he should understand that someone has to be his lawyer and that lawyer can't say anything bad about his client.
@ZSpark14 or that he just wants his name out there. yeah it's his job, but he could've picked a different case, not one that dishonors his own heritage.
Maybe, but it is not dishonorable at all. The fact is that O'Reilly is asking opinionated questions to a lawyer. Lawyer's defend their client. Speaking out against a client is contrary to a Lawyer's purpose.
This does nothing to dishonor his heritage. HE didn't make the decision to give these guys a trial. HE had no part in determining what rights these guys do or do not have. Part of being a lawyer is a belief in the Judicial system. The belief is that if everyone does there best in the processes determined by the constitution and those who decide how to interpret it, then justice will be served.
For the record I DO NOT believe these guys should have been tried as citizens. This was an act of war against the whole of America, but it was decided, for symbolic reasons, that it go the other way. The same with this guy. He had no input into how these people were to be tried, He was given an opportunity to do his job. With our judicial system it is necessary for all parties to not be bias, and to carry out procedure to the best of there abilities.
@ZSpark14 he also knows they aren't getting away its an open and shut case, but he should donate his earnings he is making on the trial to the families his clients murdered
@ZSpark14 Were theses terrorists born here? No. Did they kill 3,000 people? Yes. They don't deserve the Constitution's rights that are listed because they're anti-American and they killed us! We should deal with them like we dealt with Awlaki over in Yemen! It's simple! The rule of Law applies to citizens, not illegal aliens, and definitely not terrorists.
Why is everyone missing the point? I don't agree with the fact that they were given a trial as though they were citizens, but THAT IS HOW IT PLAYED OUT. It was decided. We can't change that. Realize though that regardless of who represents them SOMEONE HAS TOO. That's how it is. This lawyer, and any other lawyer, is just doing what lawyers do.
Hating on him when the ultimate decision was out of his hands is insane, and stupid.
It is very important that the tradition within Western democracies of giving everyone a fair trial is upheld...... especially in cases like this.
Vile religious extremists who plot to murder us are trying to change our way of life and it is precisely because of this that we must stand firm and stick to our principles of fairness and justice for all.
What would that arse O'Reilly want the lawyer to say?Does he expect him to incriminate his clients on live tv?
@MattRebel25 If he doesn't think his client is guilty, he ought to argue that his client isn't guilty, rather than pretending he has no opinion. His own legal team is arguing that it wasn't murder.
Correction: Scott Fenstermaker kicks the shit out of Bill O'Reilly. Scott gives concise legal responses. Bill? "You understand everybody hates you right?" Third grader tactics against a NY criminal defense giant.
and he was asked concise questions. Interesting you compare O'reilly to a third grader when he's far more successful in his his tactics and his profession.
well, from your comment. if you watched the video, you'd see that he never defends the terrorist suspects, he just says firmly that he's there to make sure they get a just trial. So no, he's not "proud to defend them period." He says pretty clearly that he's proud to defend "the rule of law." Unless you DO want to hang them without a jury, you would agree with his position, but it was pretty clear from your comments that you don't agree.
ok so you are inferring from my comment something that is completely untrue. I do think they should get a fair trial but not in a place where they are going to be able to say how much Americans are infidels as their defense. So no I don't agree with a man who is proud to use that defense regardless of it being fair or not.
Bill your not only an oracle, your also an a**hole. You should know that being a defense lawyer his job is not to indict his client. Instead of attacking this lawyer, why don't you ask Bush and Cheney why they did it.......oh wait...i know, i know.....lets follow the money, oil baby oil.
gangsta... liberal isnt about being cool.. its about respecting everyone.. about showing compation.. about make it better for everyone.. even for you.... Gday
actually, do your homework... liberalism is currently about respecting minority groups instead of individuals. The constitution protects individuals, until today's liberals try to "make things better for everyone" by taking those rights away and giving them to specific minority groups. You're actually making things WORSE for everyone in the long run... for YOU, and especially for your children and their children who grow up in a world where rights are given to little groups instead of people.
sorry friend... they only allow 500 characters on this thing, can't write a novel like that here. But there are books, videos, classes, articles... lots of things out there if you want to learn about politics, philosophy and ideologies. But first thing, read the US Constitution, the history of the nation, and the printed words of the founding fathers, that should give you a head start : )
For generations, racial minorities were denied access to higher education, employment, and where they could live and do business. Affirmative Action addressed that discrimination... .. Does it take away any of your rights?
This lawyer is a good American. He believes in the American justice system and is abiding by it as it is supposed to, by giving anyone (no matter who they are) a fair trial, he should be honored. O Reilly is a cuntsack and an asshole and all of those rude comments were just unnecessary.
he might not have been a good speaker, but he shouldnt be condemnded like that for defending them. its his role. without a defense theres no trial. without a trial theres no legal justice.
No, I believe he did. The man came off as a complete buffoon - " I am honored they hate me?" Let me guess, you voted for Obama and believe this venue is appropriate, correct?
I did not vote for Obama. I believe in the Rule of Law. That lawyer was doing his job in the face of of O'Reilly's bullying tactics (leading questions, name calling, personal attacks). He did OK in the face of that until O'Reilly put words in his mouth. Look at the interview from a professional perspective. It's easy to get emotional in this situation and hate that lawyer for representing those scum, but there is a bigger picture here.
Believe me, I am not being emotional. Let's look at this from a purely economic point of view. Do we deserve to pay for this and then bring this "scum" into our backyard? This lawyer harped on the number killed, was smarmy in his retorts and revels in his position. This is a huge mistake and we both (I believe) know it.
Sorry, I don't make decisions based on purely financial reasons. It's the right thing to try them like everyone else. They have the same rights as everyone else. This helps reestablish the US as a just country. Yes, both sides will have their say, but I can't imagine anything those killers can say that will make me change my mind about what they did.
that is what defense lawyers are supposed to do. its their role. the exact same thing happens millions of times a day in america at smaller trials..but the principle is the same.
You're correct of course but this situation is a bit different, at least from my perspective. I do not believe this is the venue nor the time for this to be taking place.
There was.....The Japanese were getting ready to invade the Alleutian Islands.....American soil....that was hardly an act of terrorism. Our objective was not to spread terrorism, but to get Japan to concede the war.....and the Japanese were warned in those cities to evacuate, but they chose not to heed the warning...
The Japanese had all but conceded making any more offensive attacks by that point and had become purely defensive minded as their resources were severely limited. Also, for them to listen to a warning from us would be just as effective as if the 9/11 terrorist said to evacuate NY. And lastly, we killed 200,000 people in seconds and those cities were unlivable for years, compared to 3,000 and a couple of buildings.
First of all, the Japanese did NOT have plans to concede anything. You need to google "Operation Codename Decision" and have a history lesson. Secondly, it was a HUGE mistake for the U.S. not to heed the warnings of 9/11. And lastly, I don't care what the body count is. H & N bombs saved many lives of many US soldiers (e.g. my grandfather). 9/11 was committed as an act of cowardace and hatred for what this country stands for, and for killing the 'infidel.' ....BIG difference.
The Japanese might not have planned to concede, but they were running out of resources and losing every encounter with American forces. And I don't know about your grandfather, but mine (who received 2 purple hearts fighting in the Pacific) was not ok killing women and children so he didn't have to fight anymore.
Where the #$%& does Bill O'Reilly get his flow of logic from? The lawyer did fairly well, holding up to O'Reilly's usual barrage of spins & interruptions...O'Reilly was just embarrassing.

What the hell's his problem. O'reilly has got a post secondary education he should understand that someone has to be his lawyer and that lawyer can't say anything bad about his client.

Defense Attorney Scott Fenstermaker is a 9/11 Truther. Beware!
Plan911FrmOuterSpace 2 years ago
One: This lawyer is doing his job. He is upholding the Law and doing his best to ensure that his client receives a just trial.
Two: Lawyers do not say things about their clients that could show favor for either side.
Three:if he were to say that he actually wants these guys to be executed, then the defense could go for a mistrial and drag this out longer.
I respect this man. Majority of the U.S. is to blunt to see he is upholding his beliefs in the faces of an extreme situation.
ZSpark14 2 years ago 19
@ZSpark14 or that he just wants his name out there. yeah it's his job, but he could've picked a different case, not one that dishonors his own heritage.
martinschmit 1 year ago
Maybe, but it is not dishonorable at all. The fact is that O'Reilly is asking opinionated questions to a lawyer. Lawyer's defend their client. Speaking out against a client is contrary to a Lawyer's purpose.
ZSpark14 1 year ago
This does nothing to dishonor his heritage. HE didn't make the decision to give these guys a trial. HE had no part in determining what rights these guys do or do not have. Part of being a lawyer is a belief in the Judicial system. The belief is that if everyone does there best in the processes determined by the constitution and those who decide how to interpret it, then justice will be served.
ZSpark14 8 months ago
Whether or not it is right is not up to him. If lawyers proceeded that way then the judicial system would crumble.
ZSpark14 8 months ago
For the record I DO NOT believe these guys should have been tried as citizens. This was an act of war against the whole of America, but it was decided, for symbolic reasons, that it go the other way. The same with this guy. He had no input into how these people were to be tried, He was given an opportunity to do his job. With our judicial system it is necessary for all parties to not be bias, and to carry out procedure to the best of there abilities.
ZSpark14 8 months ago
@ZSpark14 he also knows they aren't getting away its an open and shut case, but he should donate his earnings he is making on the trial to the families his clients murdered
stavie04 4 months ago
@ZSpark14 Were theses terrorists born here? No. Did they kill 3,000 people? Yes. They don't deserve the Constitution's rights that are listed because they're anti-American and they killed us! We should deal with them like we dealt with Awlaki over in Yemen! It's simple! The rule of Law applies to citizens, not illegal aliens, and definitely not terrorists.
CoolGuy18201 3 months ago
Why is everyone missing the point? I don't agree with the fact that they were given a trial as though they were citizens, but THAT IS HOW IT PLAYED OUT. It was decided. We can't change that. Realize though that regardless of who represents them SOMEONE HAS TOO. That's how it is. This lawyer, and any other lawyer, is just doing what lawyers do.
Hating on him when the ultimate decision was out of his hands is insane, and stupid.
ZSpark14 3 months ago
Total respect to the lawyer.
It is very important that the tradition within Western democracies of giving everyone a fair trial is upheld...... especially in cases like this.
Vile religious extremists who plot to murder us are trying to change our way of life and it is precisely because of this that we must stand firm and stick to our principles of fairness and justice for all.
What would that arse O'Reilly want the lawyer to say?Does he expect him to incriminate his clients on live tv?
mickety2001 2 years ago
what lawyer is going to admit their clinets are guilty? The guys not going to say that so why even ask......
MattRebel25 2 years ago 12
@MattRebel25 If he doesn't think his client is guilty, he ought to argue that his client isn't guilty, rather than pretending he has no opinion. His own legal team is arguing that it wasn't murder.

Correction: Scott Fenstermaker kicks the shit out of Bill O'Reilly. Scott gives concise legal responses. Bill? "You understand everybody hates you right?" Third grader tactics against a NY criminal defense giant.
blak8819 2 years ago
and he was asked concise questions. Interesting you compare O'reilly to a third grader when he's far more successful in his his tactics and his profession.

blak8819,
You hit it on the head, my friend. I love Fox, but again, O'Reilly
gets hammered and has to resort to name calling, and showboating for he has nothing else.

This guy is proud to defend the 9/11 terrorists. Wow...
jdsclassof09 2 years ago
Nah. he's proud that he can stand in the way of idiots like you trying to hang them before they've stood in front of a jury. That's all.
instereovideos 2 years ago
No he's proud to defend them period. I never said I wanted to hang them before they had a jury lmao. Where in the hell did you get that?
jdsclassof09 2 years ago
well, from your comment. if you watched the video, you'd see that he never defends the terrorist suspects, he just says firmly that he's there to make sure they get a just trial. So no, he's not "proud to defend them period." He says pretty clearly that he's proud to defend "the rule of law." Unless you DO want to hang them without a jury, you would agree with his position, but it was pretty clear from your comments that you don't agree.
instereovideos 2 years ago
ok so you are inferring from my comment something that is completely untrue. I do think they should get a fair trial but not in a place where they are going to be able to say how much Americans are infidels as their defense. So no I don't agree with a man who is proud to use that defense regardless of it being fair or not.
jdsclassof09 2 years ago
Don't forget that Bill O'Reilly himself said that he doesn't care what the Constitution says.
Bill O'Reilly is a Traitor!!!

Gday
sigmet61 2 years ago
actually, do your homework... liberalism is currently about respecting minority groups instead of individuals. The constitution protects individuals, until today's liberals try to "make things better for everyone" by taking those rights away and giving them to specific minority groups. You're actually making things WORSE for everyone in the long run... for YOU, and especially for your children and their children who grow up in a world where rights are given to little groups instead of people.
instereovideos 2 years ago
instereovideos... what rights are they taking from anyone?
sigmet61 2 years ago
sorry friend... they only allow 500 characters on this thing, can't write a novel like that here. But there are books, videos, classes, articles... lots of things out there if you want to learn about politics, philosophy and ideologies. But first thing, read the US Constitution, the history of the nation, and the printed words of the founding fathers, that should give you a head start : )
instereovideos 2 years ago
hehe... stumped..... Just give me one right that is taking away from you...
sigmet61 2 years ago
one will satisfy you? lol. affirmative action. this is an invention of the current state of liberalism. do... your... homework....
instereovideos 2 years ago
For generations, racial minorities were denied access to higher education, employment, and where they could live and do business. Affirmative Action addressed that discrimination... .. Does it take away any of your rights?
sigmet61 2 years ago
This lawyer is a good American. He believes in the American justice system and is abiding by it as it is supposed to, by giving anyone (no matter who they are) a fair trial, he should be honored. O Reilly is a cuntsack and an asshole and all of those rude comments were just unnecessary.

rpgposer0 2 years ago
No, I believe he did. The man came off as a complete buffoon - " I am honored they hate me?" Let me guess, you voted for Obama and believe this venue is appropriate, correct?
orangeleviathan 2 years ago
I did not vote for Obama. I believe in the Rule of Law. That lawyer was doing his job in the face of of O'Reilly's bullying tactics (leading questions, name calling, personal attacks). He did OK in the face of that until O'Reilly put words in his mouth. Look at the interview from a professional perspective. It's easy to get emotional in this situation and hate that lawyer for representing those scum, but there is a bigger picture here.
rpgposer0 2 years ago
Believe me, I am not being emotional. Let's look at this from a purely economic point of view. Do we deserve to pay for this and then bring this "scum" into our backyard? This lawyer harped on the number killed, was smarmy in his retorts and revels in his position. This is a huge mistake and we both (I believe) know it.
orangeleviathan 2 years ago
Sorry, I don't make decisions based on purely financial reasons. It's the right thing to try them like everyone else. They have the same rights as everyone else. This helps reestablish the US as a just country. Yes, both sides will have their say, but I can't imagine anything those killers can say that will make me change my mind about what they did.
rpgposer0 2 years ago
that is what defense lawyers are supposed to do. its their role. the exact same thing happens millions of times a day in america at smaller trials..but the principle is the same.
kmardes 2 years ago
You're correct of course but this situation is a bit different, at least from my perspective. I do not believe this is the venue nor the time for this to be taking place.
Peace.

So Bill O'Reilly doesn't think that there was justification for Hiroshima & Nagasaki?
akfak0retlaw 2 years ago
There was.....The Japanese were getting ready to invade the Alleutian Islands.....American soil....that was hardly an act of terrorism. Our objective was not to spread terrorism, but to get Japan to concede the war.....and the Japanese were warned in those cities to evacuate, but they chose not to heed the warning...
CSTJoshLMT 2 years ago
There is no justification for using nukes.
rpgposer0 2 years ago
Well then you need to get the hell out of the U.S. and go be a citizen in a country where saving it would mean using any means neccessary....hippy.
CSTJoshLMT 2 years ago
Once you understand the horror of the reality of nuclear destruction, all your 'justification' is meaningless. I am not a hippy.
rpgposer0 2 years ago
The Japanese had all but conceded making any more offensive attacks by that point and had become purely defensive minded as their resources were severely limited. Also, for them to listen to a warning from us would be just as effective as if the 9/11 terrorist said to evacuate NY. And lastly, we killed 200,000 people in seconds and those cities were unlivable for years, compared to 3,000 and a couple of buildings.
akfak0retlaw 2 years ago
First of all, the Japanese did NOT have plans to concede anything. You need to google "Operation Codename Decision" and have a history lesson. Secondly, it was a HUGE mistake for the U.S. not to heed the warnings of 9/11. And lastly, I don't care what the body count is. H & N bombs saved many lives of many US soldiers (e.g. my grandfather). 9/11 was committed as an act of cowardace and hatred for what this country stands for, and for killing the 'infidel.' ....BIG difference.
CSTJoshLMT 2 years ago
You don't care what the body count is... I DO!!!
rpgposer0 2 years ago
The Japanese might not have planned to concede, but they were running out of resources and losing every encounter with American forces. And I don't know about your grandfather, but mine (who received 2 purple hearts fighting in the Pacific) was not ok killing women and children so he didn't have to fight anymore.
