  • Thank you!!!

  • one thing he did not mention, do not close your fists when you jog, for proper blood circulation.

  • sometimes I run with my hands down haha, like if im wearing a sweatshirt and its cold.

  • uhmmm... what if you run around like...

    Captain Jack Sparrow style?

  • I know this guy knows his stuff, but how much do you need to know to jog? I wish more men would jog in running tights! Yay!

  • @paintur68 LOL!!

  • Jakey - that's usually because your shoes are either not laced up securely or you have bad shoes. If you're running, you need running shoes. Asics are a good start and in the UK sales a good pair is only £25 ($45)

  • Hey when i go jogging after a few mins my ankles start to hurt really bad and it makes me stop :( how can i prevent this from happing??

  • @jakeypoops11111 cut them off !!!

  • Cool vid thanks.

I'm only jogging a few weeks...But i keep getting this pain mainly in my lower shins.

Do you know whats causing this ?

  • @HitchHikersBlues hey man, i keep getting that pain, its called a "shinsplint" they suck, I cant stop them either no matter how much stretching i do or how i run. Worth looking into tho

  • @HitchHikersBlues might be you are jogging too far at first. I shorten your distance at first and jog 2 sessions. then you can also drink salt tablets to retain water.

  • @namibiapa Yeah but my right lower leg aches at times...

I've been told it's a shin splint, and that i should stretch it and ice it often!

  • @HitchHikersBlues yes warmup stretching prior to jogging is important.

otherwise see a doctor. Do dot strain yourself. They comeback with age.

  • @namibiapa Yes, I've just realized how important stretching actually is.

So far, the pain i my right leg has eased up a bit after resting and icing it for a week or two.

I think that maybe i did too much to begin with, or didn't stretch and warm up properly??

  • Thank you for sharing

  • awesome videos man

  • @TheJay9002 why the fuck did u watcg it then? You must be a fat lard too.

  • wtf............this is so wrong.

  • i tried this and my legs are on fire

  • I'm not really sure why YouTube thought I'd want to watch this.. :/

  • @BlueAuraWolf Lol youtube recommended this to you? Thats when you know you have officially become a fat disgusting bastard and its time to do something about it

  • is he related to Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit?

  • Everytime i look at the second top rated comment I can't help but imagining about that actually happening. and every single second I would see the comment I would die my ass off !!!!!!!!!!! OMFGGGGGGGG It's too funny. That comment is more tiring than jogging...

  • @CreativePotion You are clueless do some proper research.

  • You check any advice on running and it will tell you to hold arms at 90 degree angle with palms facing your body or fists closed with thumbs touching index finger, any body making fun of this is clueless.

  • this really helped me

  • I learned as a child to run faster by running on the front portion of my feet. Is this why my feet have been cramping when I run. Ive tried about 4 different running shoes. The first thing i noticed about this video is he runs with his whole foot.

  • @nias1865 That's how to sprint, not jog.

  • @CreativePotion Yeah hes got it down to a science lol:) "Keep your eyes forward, dont slouch, dont tilt your neck, dont overstride." Breathing and foot placement are key, the arms at 90 degrees not so much but it does work your shoulders out.

  • Good information. I am sharing it on my website jog.org And many user of the website love the information. keep up the good work.

  • @pdxninja250 Shut up coming from the guy that watches people riding there scooter ?

  • very good and logical tips!

  • This guy runs

  • hes like fe fi fo fum

  • You might wanna wear a thong so your balls don't hang there its a wast of energy !

  • upright...ahhh... ive been doing it all wrong, trying to jog while laying down... thanks for the tip :)

  • lol he runs funny

  • Just so you people know. jogging is in fact a twentieth century invention. biomechanically people are not designed to jog. so long as you jog and dont run properly, say with the pose method, you will experience joint pain which could leed to a long term injury.

  • Great tips Tim. I've forwarded your video to friends who are picking up jogging

  • sisajte kurac americke picke, idite napolje pa trcite

  • @kusadakboy jebem te materu picku!!!!!!!!

  • @volvicnaturelle1 bravo nepismeni, nisi uspeo da ubodes ni padez,ni rod ni broj

  • I'm not a huge fan of running, but after watching him run, I wanna run! :P This is actually pretty helpfull in a way.

  • that was really usfull thanks mate

  • I dont think its my breathing or anything I really do push my self to run! Why do my legs start to hurt so badly?

  • @Like55Like do you run often, if you don't then that's probably why or maybe your legs are just weak, try working out your leg muscles.

  • anyone think its funny that budweisers advertising on health videos?

  • @SharpShooterRecords7

    I got BudLight instead lol.

  • i want to start jog but my question is do jog really makes my body get more powerful? i really get more power and stronger?

  • I'm not a great runner so how should I control my breathing?

  • thank youuu i suck at joggnig cos 1 running step is equivalent to 3 jogging step

  • Thanks for these tips. I just started jogging again after a 20 year hiatus and was wondering about some of the things you covered. Yeah, I was doing several things wrong such as landing on my heal btw... Now if I can only dodge the poison ivy a bit better I'm set ;-)

  • for those people that sit for 99.99% of the day

  • Good tips for the target audience - joggers. While I have not seen his other YouTube material, I would like to have heard a little more - even a mention - about warm-up, cool-down, and stretching.

  • is it ok if you job on the balls of your feet?

  • So pretty much to sum this crap of a message up just run ...???? What a waste of time dumb advice besides he is white anyways when's the last time a white athlete finished in the top 100 in the Olympics in running

  • WERES LANCE?!

  • Thanks for the tips, I was landing on my heal, I will try to land flat on my feet now.

  • By any chance, Are you related to Ron Cey?

  • jogging in such a nice landscape is called CHEATING!>:(

  • U run like Forrest gump

  • this is boring, mr Borland xD

  • i've been jogging off and on for the past 9 years of my life. exactly 5 years ago i was jogging 63+ miles a week! i did 9+ a day and could go 6miles non stop! i got ill and now i'm starting over again. jogging is both mental and physical. i never stretched at all but posture is VERY important.

  • nice tips

  • I agree with you Tommyballa123, but you know, "do what the priest says, not what he does" :)) just a saying in my country. He look like he wants to take off and fly with his arms

  • i don't find anything funny in this video.. thank you for these tips I need 'em

  • he dont look right when hes jogging

  • I don't know why people are making fun of this when bad form can cause injuries. Running is natural, true. But the right running form is not. I've seen a lot of bad running out there.

  • I think you should teach us how to walk first cause I don't like taking a step to fast.

  • @lordcail haha

  • left foot firs, right foo next, bounce up down, then go forward!!!!! omg i learn how to run and i a retatred

  • ugh ugh ah ugh

  • Do as he says, not as he does... regarding landing on your flats, or forefoot, instead of your heel.

  • what if im feeling lowere back pain and might it because I have to run up and down hill?

  • this video should be renamed 'how to run like a dick'.

  • Thanks for the video

  • thanks Einstein

  • It looks so sunny there. Here it is grey everyday. No-one jogs.

  • i got tired just watching him run....i needa break. and possibly a cheeseburger

  • @AllenYuko Yeah so did most people who are saying this video is stupid.

  • @HCNguyen86 how come when i run i have a little bit of a lower back pain like i just lifted weights? just wondering if you know cuz i have had that happen for so long no

  • @T1TakeDown Well there is a lot of factors that come into play but i would have to say that you are probably not keeping your back straight when running.

  • @AllenYuko Are you referring to the ad before your video? Mine had a giant cheeseburger in it :p

  • @ddsspeccies mine is about soccer ¬¬

  • @AllenYuko Are you 500 pounds?

  • He is like a cartoon character, he looks stupid and never changes clothes.

  • He runs like rosie o'donnell running to get in Mc Donald's

  • nemoj me jebat da ćeš me ti učit trčat ahahaha

ko da si prebolio dječju paralizu

  • @emyster09

Please i play pro football or as americans call it soccer :)

  • run forest run lol

  • runs like he's got a coat hanger is his T

  • run a mile everyday, you will die anyway

  • @scrieciu15

Sure, but passing away at 46 and doing so at 76 are two very distinctly different things. ;-)

But yeah if one is genetically inclined for a shorter life, there is little that can be done except to maybe not help it along.

  • this is running not jogging!!

  • woe woe woe you went way to fast i need 2 learn how to stand first

  • how are people allowed to teach this? step one. take off those massive rubber blocks off your feet at go barefoot. step 2 get off your heels! run midfoot, its the way humans are intended to run. Somehow shoe companies have tricked us into believing we need to buy their expensive products when really all we need are our own two feet!

  • @UBCBarefoot by that logic that means you shouldnt be using a computer either. since cavemen never used computers. just a stick and a rock

  • hot hot hot

  • 11 people probably need to watch the "How to walk" video...

  • Guys stop making fun of him he's giving useful tips on jogging the video wasn't ment to tell you everything about jogging look at his other vids

  • i need help with sitting

  • thanks for the useful tips, i've been running on my hands since childhood.

  • OK so you put ome foot in front of the other...after that i'm lost

  • ummmm, ok (pickin' nose). How did I get here ?

  • Oh my god are you kidding me before you jog you make sure youre not dehydrated and have a heart monitore and then warm up then strech then you go jogging youre very rediculouse for think people need help to jog give me a break bwahahahahaha!

  • Try to land on the flat of your heal Jennaaay.

  • can anyone here beat my record at jogging which is non stop 10 km jog in about 55 minutes

  • @magicalgold010 no, i can only jog for 45 seconds how can you nearly do an hour are u sure ur not part gazelle

  • Can you jog in place at home wearing socks only (no sneakers)??

  • @Riana718 Yes, you shouldn't really wear shoes when you run anyway.

  • @jwallbanger then dont watch it moron. he is telling you how to place your foot and how to get maximum breathing.. and how to use gravity to get you forward... if you know this why the hell do u watch it... and why the hell do you write a negative comment dickface!

  • @dragonfurp wow, my little joke really got your panties in a bunch, didn't it sweetie? don't blow a gasket there lil fella, you're gonna tire yourself out! and how did you know i was a moron? my iq is 47 and i never mastered how to poop in the toilet, can you teach me? oh yeah, and i do have a dickface! my nose protrudes forward 6 inches and shoots white goo out the end, but only in the presence of cutie pies like you! can i have my spankin now? too da loo!!!!!!!!!

  • He's a marathon runner and his body looks fabulous. I can't believe how much runners get dissed for not being strong or having taut physiques.

  • i'm sorry, relax your shoulders (okay i can do that) then keep your arms up? What do you think is the muscle that raises your arms.... on that's right. Your shoulders! -.-

  • @00000Milkshake he means dont bring your shoulders back/up/forward.

  • @00000Milkshake Not really.. your lats will lift your arms up.

  • Don't under estimate form while jogging, it does make a difference. You can have a more effective workout and possibly lower stress & pain on your body. I went from 195 lbs. to 105 lbs. and jogging was how I lost most of it. At the start I just ran, as my workout progressed I noticed the form of other joggers and there is a difference. It's like walking with your back straight rather than hunched. If walk to excercise there is a certain form to use to make it more effective, as well.

  • lmao seriously? what about "How to breathe"

  • is there any diferences between running and jogging?

  • @HackMastery007 yes, they are spelled differently

  • @Tzenjin thanx dude, that's really helpful.

  • Jogging is booring... lets do a sprint!

  • @TheBlamus Sprinting isnt good for weight loss. Jogging is good for burning calories because you can do it for long periods of time. Sprinting is only for short periods of time. But if your already in shape and dont need to lose any weight sprinting is great. Sprinting and running use different energy systems in the body.

  • I tried running and it was too stressful on my joints so I'm thinking that jogging would better - shorter strides, coming down flatter on the feet, etc. Advice is welcome. My main objective (I'm 61) is to improve my overal body tone and cardiovascular. Not looking to run a marathon unless a miracle happens :).

  • hey can anyone tell me sumfink. when i finished jogging both my legs hurts, like ur muscle from ur legs are really tight is that normal or sumfink.

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • Swinging the arms actually help pump and drain the lymphatic system parts by the arm pits, sides and neck. This helps get rid of the toxins that the system is supposed to be getting rid of through sweat. So jogging for at least ten minutes is best.

  • I guess you need imaginary lat syndrome like the sterotypical runner. We got 2 at my gym they will curl 20 lb dumbells, then benchpress 135 lbs while snorting and yelling then walk around with ILS like their arms are broke.

  • that's an ok info but shoes are also very important factor in running/jogging. it could be an stability shoes or a cushioning one. no matter how you do your posture correctly if you are wearing improper ones could affect mainly your knees. done it before and i felt it as i get older.

  • Hannah Cyrus Is stupid and her friend must be bigger idiot...

  • Pull ur head in m8

  • Ayye you guys have to back down this guy. My best friend jogged for a year and she had absolutely no injuries she was in perfect shape. Now she has to get knee surgery because her jogging posture was not correct. So you know what all you joggers that are hatin- keep on laughing and making fun of him. He'll be the one laughing while yous are gettin surgeries, sprained ankles and other injuries.

  • what a nice place to jog, all i have to see are houses, cars and people x.x

  • If you don't want to know how to jog properly then be my guest. You'll regret it, but it's your decision.

  • Hey Tim, you should do more demoing and less talking.

  • i think i wanna laugh..

  • not really funny, if you do not know how to jog the correct way it can lead to injury over a long period .. my uncle jogged for uears everyday only to later on suffer spine and knee problems resulting from his jogging which lead him to be unable to jog anymore ... so laugh it up now fools... this guy int he video will be the one laughing later.

  • @evilhomer11 I can agree with that, I jogged for 5-6 years and in the end I pushed too hard, everyday and I injured my knee and I can't jog now, even walking long distances hurt. So yeah, technique is essential and is not a joke. Also, the sneakers are key, the surface you jog on and warming up too.

  • @evilhomer11 yeah... my friend's grandfather DIED after lying immediately after a jog.

  • @amirul264 my grandpa died even without jogging at all!! so it's dangerous even if you don't do it!

  • @assailant85 I'm just saying that without a proper knowledge on how to jog, it's very dangerous.

  • run forrest run!!!

  • do you think you can make a how to crawl video? thanks

  • This guy knows absolutely nothing about jogging.

  • he looks like tom hanks when playing forest gump !!!

  • Could you tell me how not to get lower leg back strain after jogging? I get it all the time the next day even though I try to stretch before joggin :(

  • What's next? "How to breath"

  • @rendlaW thats excactly what I thought video for retards he should post how to eat as well

  • @rendlaW lol. some people pass out because they dont know how to breath when running. Its sad

  • from time magazine ten thousand steps can control type 2 diabetes and lose weight then walking to cure breast cancer ok from time magazine

  • one person says to land flat footed, one says to do heel strike and then some say land on your toes........im very confused so im just gonna try it each way and see what works for me..

  • im not gonna lie... i have never FLAT FOOTED... its horrible... what i do it i run like 5K with school and 26Ks *half marathon* i normally will run heel toe for like 3/4th the way and 1/4th at the end toe heel....

  • @39chelle Heel first puts pressure on you're knees.

  • well I land on my heel first but the front ball it's the grind directly after...I dont know how one could do it flat footed...seems un natural....and landing on the front part first seem even more un natural...just do what feels best for you.

  • @39chelle See, you're getting confused about different runs. Landing on your toes is for SPRINTS, it means your pushing your body forward faster, and your leaning forward a lot. When doing "heel strikes" thats for probably any other running. But I don't think you should run flat footed because the impact on your feet landing flat will be bad on your knees.

  • @EversmanSAT omg... landing on your heels is the worst care scenario. it causes lots of force on your whole leg. you want to land on the balls of your feet. this gives a spring effect and absorbs the forces involved much better. Try running barefoot about 10% of your time running and you will learn the proper "mid-foot/fore-foot strike".

  • say this to joggers when you pass them on the sidewalk, etc:

    "pay it forward!"

    they appreciate it.

  • great video

  • Run, Forrest, Run

  • Thank u, this really helped my breathing when jogging

  • have you tried jogging and singing? check my video LET'S JOG LET'S SING!

  • good points thanks

  • he runs like tom hanks in forest gump

  • haha that made my day

  • @XxFaizanxX pwahahahaha, that was fken funny!

  • @XxFaizanxX.....lol, u should of said "he runs like forrest gump"

  • @XxFaizanxX Lmfao
