Jackie has abilities to sing alto and is fantastic in alto range, but cant sing so clearly and lightly, resonant in second half of soprano range, Andrew could do it very well. Andrew was a master of bright, ligt timbre, Jacke is a master of dark, contralto or mezzo timbre. Jacke voice is going to the adult, female voice, Andrew voice was strongly androgene related to the castrati

People seem to think that this is the only piece of classical music ever written. What's wrong with the Faure Pie Jesu or the Rutter (and these barely scratch the surface)? All people seem to need is a cute boy or girl singing this Webber version and they think they've had a revalation in music.

@GJJDGDJJF I was not trying to put down Andrew, he has done extremely well, and is very lucky to have had the opportunity to put together an album. My only concern (wh is that people tend not to pursue an interest in classical music any more. The song he sings here is very popular, but it seems that people don't try and invest a bit more in classical/choral music. I'm just tired of hearing the same songs churned out again and again. This song will most liekly have been chosen for him.

@101francis101 Andrew was a Cathedral Chorister and used to singing Choral/classical music, he also plays piano and Organ. He now trains at the Royal School of Music in Manchester and we are told on his official website that he has a baritone voice, singing classical music and is still an active member of his Cathedral choir. Andrew will likely have little choice in what he had to sing, I had no intrest in classical music till I heard Andrew but he made me listen and want to explore more.
