Optimisation in this context generally refers to the playing a game as close to perfectly as possible; in this case it is also as fast as possible. This is done by slowing the game down and continually reverting all the errors through savestates.
At this point in time I feel it prudent to ingeminate myself by referring to my above remark in which I alluded to the necessity of well structured and thought out messages to reduce the clutter of this forum thereby increasing the opportunity for real and meaningful insights into the content of the video.

Are you suggesting that randomly throwing around profanities is the most efficient means to solve a problem? Quite a laughable sentiment, I say. If I were in your situation I probably would have asked something along the lines of "If it pleases the correspondent, might it be wise to explicate the notion of a TAS so that those like myself who are perhaps not...

You let go of A while boosting to go faster. You also have to start pressing it again at the right time otherwise you will stall.
