Stay away from Sudafed PE, it doesn't work and was only introduced because governments got all tough on precursors to methamphetamine (such as pseudoephidrine). It's almost a placebo.

The ban's useless against meth use; they're making it now in Mexico without pseudoephedrine. It's useful in stopping labs, which are a danger in and of themselves. Problem is that phenylephrine is a fraud and the government is complicit. Signing a log wouldn't be such a problem if not for the fact that people have been arrested just for buying enough for their sick kids. What other useful products will be effectively banned because dregs of society have learned how to make drugs with them.

The new Sudafed which is called "Sudafed PE" does not work. They removed the old one, which worked, because of the myth that people who buy Sudafed just use it to get high.
