Backwater animes like Wolfs Rain are always so much different than the mainstream stuff like Naruta and Bleach. Not saying mainstream sucks (<3 Deathnote) but I always found the backwater stuff to be more unique and therefore more enjoyable.

A grand, majestic piece of music. With quite a bit of "La Mantovana notes" borrowed into it (the sweeping ascent, followed by a likewise sweeping descent, all to an imposing, sentimental effect). Ref. "Ack Värmeland, du sköna" or Smetana's "Vltava" for other examples from this little "genre"... :-)

i'm so incredibly :( about the fact that they haven't released the last OST for this show. This was an actually pretty good anime, considering it's obscurity, with great characters and a great ending (if somewhat lacking in plot...). However, the thing that really makes this show stick out to me is the music. Yoko Kanno at her very best, folks. Cowboy Bebop is the only show that even comes close to Wolf's Rain in this regard. Face on+Shiro+Stray+Go to Rakuen+Heaven's not enough=absolute win.

It's not, the one when Kiba and Darcia are fighting has percussion, Shiro Long Tails doesnt, that one is just faster and more upbeat.

Actually, I've never heard this version... I've always heard another.. that I guess you could consider more "upbeat." It doesn't have the eerie flute playing. Search for "Shiro, long tails." It's different.

And i dont know why, cuz its some of the most beautiful music in the series. Theres this piano piece that plays a lot in the episodes where theyre at Jaguara's city, thats one of the best things for piano ive heard.... and i dont even know its name or if itll ever be released.

This is one of my favorites of the entire soundtrack. You can feel every emotion it has to offer. Every one of the songs are simply perfect and majestic. The series offers the same charisma and charm to your heart, ears, and eyes. Everything Wolf's Rain is amazing and nothing short of that. It's not like other animes where everything is spoon-fed and everything is expected. It's twisted, fantastic, and enthralling to the extreme. Great music and great screenplay are hard to find nowadays.

actually i think it is because one version was used in a more special occasion and this was used more often in fact i think Shiro Long Tail's might be the version used in the fight with darcia or perhaps earlier
