i still remember the 1990 Nintendo World Championships quite vividly. SMB3 was the huge attraction, as that game was state of the art then. I still have my guidebook from the event. They had all these various stations set up with either NES consoles or Gameboys where you could try out the latest games. You paid one price, and got to play as much as you, wherever you wanted, and if you thought you were a badass gamer you could vie for the championship contest against other gamers.

Yo, I gotta admit, I did this same shit when I was a kid with my brother. They had it set up at a mall and my dad made my brother and I do it for my moms birthday. A part of me still hates him for it, haha. If I ever get it uploaded ill link it up.
