This is crazy. As I was watching and listening I felt I was seeing people, creatures or spirits frozen under ice or somehow frozen in time. It's amazing the way the music pours out of you. I couldn't watch your last post. Youtube wouldn't let me due to a copyright issue. This one is a great journey. I hope you're doing well. Jason : )
@batfly Nah, I don't think it was. But it is still pretty impressive it was a gift from my mom's brother an artist himself. I think is the she-wolf number 2. Or a number, but yes, it is awesome.
The Epiphany I had about Jackson Pollock art: His greatest gift in his work... It was to inspire other artists... It was for those who crave inspiration as fuel to their own passions and desires...
I'm soaking in all the different ways my own imagination can start filling in the blanks and taking away from the filled in bits... it's pure genius.... And if you don't get it... you're not suppose to get it... Got it? Good.
this is fantastic. i had a similar idea a few years back and tried to craft a song based on pollock. mine is guitar oriented though. will post a video response if that is cool with you.
So do you have any observations regarding Pollock's art?
For example if you are a conspiracy nut crazy guy you might think Pollock was some kind of prophet or seer like Edgar Cayce... And his art was full of pieces that when viewed at in the "appropriate state of mind" would reveal secrets or ideas which can only be obtained in this special higher way of thought.
@batfly i relate pollocks work to sound, as i do with most paintings. its almost as if he is painting a song. this is why your work here struck a chord with me. what i attempted to do with my song (the video response i posted here) was to act as interpreter for the sound he implies to me. his work is a fingerprint, unique to the person viewing it, as is all art. no conspiracy theories here for me, just an "appropriate state of mind"
man you're a genious, seriously...

My dad has a Jackson Pollock. He was one of the reasons why I chose Chaos. A truly brilliant artist. Great video Batfly, love the keys.

I agree... Pollock is pure unfolded creative inspiration being shot out at the observer thirsty for something to spark their inner imagination.
