this is great education. i am very appreciative of these videos. interesting how the professor's socialist beliefs influence his examples and this likely rubs off on his students. for example, he suggests that it is not exactly fair that all employees get a 10% raise because of greater impact on bigger salaries. but had he chosen a tax increase of 10% on incomes, i wonder if he would say it was not fair that higher incomes would see a greater impact? i doubt it.
I don't believe the pakistan comment, seems a little, far fetched, isn't that a third world country? I thought they all over come here for their 'college' education. BTW, what is this instructor's name?
He's an awesome professor with a real understanding of not only stats, but how to help students really excel. If you go to Berkeley, I highly recommend taking a course from him!
@bomberfun1 Why do you come brag about crap like a child ? Grow up boy and stop bluffing. Most of students in Pakistan can not get a job if they do not have a foreign degree. Fact :P
@bomberfun1 Job is guaranteed once you get a bachelors degree from U.S. , maybe in the worse case scenario might not find a job in your field of interest. But will definitely find a job. However, Pakistan does teach this to 8th grade students.
Except that it's harder to take notes just from just speaking, especially with a field as graph-laden as statistics. But I do agree that he could use some slides/overhead stuff to make it go smoother.
Very leftist point of view on the pay increase by percentage. If a company gives constant salary increases instead of percentage increases then a person who is worth twice the salary of someone else, is effectively getting paid less. Eventually after enough raises in this manner the initially higher paid person will be getting paid only 1.5 times the lower paid person (it will approach 1). That is inherently unfair to the talent of a company.
But where are the anti-semetic remarks? Why is this guy so infamous?

@edibledragon81 okay, foil is an acronym for the expansion of (a+b)*(c+d), first outside inside last

Apart from the comments at the beginning ...
I've watched this lecture series and this lecturer makes several inappropriate comments about Republicans compared to more intelligent Democrats.
This is inappropriate and politically incorrect.
Lobby the college! 90% my ass!
