  • No ass, ill pass

  • lol, never thought I'd hear that Karate Kid Part II music (probably from Chicago) in the background of one of these videos.

  • Very informative video.

Metriks' FCE software allows the healthcare professional to objectively quantify and report on a person's functional abilities.

  • I'm having a big problem, the muscles that keep my schoulder in place are to weak.I'l training very intensively and each time after 2 months of training I 've got a problem with the infraspinatus.I like the style of bodybuilding but to me its now more like body destruction....

  • Thanks for the video. The correction you showed at the end to stabilize the scapula made a huge difference for me, because I've been doing this with an anterior rotated scapula. I fixed this, and I now feel it deep in my exterior rotators where I need to strengthen.

  • go to ptunited.com for PT products for less

  • This website is Free and it helped me A LOT cyberpt.com .. its kinda like webmd but for physical therapy

  • in the end ur shoulder never back as u born

  • Im so depressed i strained my left shoulder 2 months ago and its weak as hell. T.T I need to get back in shape damn iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. :((((((((((((((((((

  • @Altair565 Trauma and depression should probably be evaluated, in the clinic, by a physical therapist or a physician. Don't solicit advice from the Internet for emergent conditions that could represent serious pathology.

    Good luck.

    Tim

  • @cervelo58 Thanks for the advice. Its not funny when people around you tell you that "it will heal before you get married" (im 18). Finding people to share your condition with on the internet somehow helps.

  • I had a car accident 9 months ago and although right arm/shoulder/ribs getting better each day with some simple rubber band exercises, still can't lift right arm or move it/straighten away from my body. You have any exercises for this injury?

  • I have no idea what you're doing but I'm sure it's something to help someone get better. I'm going to be a Physical Therapist too. I can see myself doing that. =)

  • can't u do this exs in standing position?? without moving ur scapula.

  • i recently dislocted my shoulder and really upset about it, its much like of being hadicapped, im doomed,

anyway, if you dislocated your shoulder just send me a message, i really want to benefit from your experience, as already worried about it, the internet stories are crazy, you read how many times people re dislocate their shoulderss..

share me the experience, im over

  • I think someone is watching Karate Kid in the background

  • does the resistance has to be light or challenging?

  • Check out the videos on my channel too. A 92 year old nanna got immediate relief for her shoulder. Call me from the number on the video if you'd like to get one.

If you're in the Los Angeles aream we have a demonstration next Thursday and you can try it for yourself.

Best of luck with your pain free journey. :)

  • we must do this exercise after pain goes or we can do this for heal the soulder???plz replay

  • Cyberpt is a webiste I found that helped me a lot with my physical therapy needs

  • can u help me i hurt my should playing rugby but then it got better but it clicks when i do a certain movement also when i rotate my arm backwards with a bent arm it jolts back .. and i also recently hurt it again :P

  • i popped out my right shoulder snowboarding a few years back and it still pops out when pushed at certain angles(very painful) such as doing front raises even with light 5 pound weights i have to somewhat cheat because it feels unstable. i do this exercise and a few others as well as weight lifting but my shoulder feels weak and can still pop out. is there any hope for me or do i need surgery? thanks Tim

  • had u gone to an orthopedist for a proper diagnosis? if not i would strongly suggest it cause ignoring it could cause more harm to the shoulder.

  • no I went to a physical therapist and got x ray which came back fine. She said my ligaments were stretched allowing my shoulder to pop out. They said I should get a MRI which I can't afford until I get health insurance. The Phys. Ther. said I can lift weights as long as my shoulder isn't popping out which it hasn't fully in about 6 months.

  • how often should we do this?

  • dear tim..

i had dislocated my left shoulder 11times..i need some advice what kind of exercise should i do?

  • Comment removed

  • @ponfie09 go to a specialist in your area!!

  • One should lie down closer to the edge so as to allow a greater range of motion in the eccentric contraction.

  • chupalambestaki,

I disagree. This technique has been extensively tested in the clinic and by researchers.

The difficult part is in stabilizing the scapula - not in getting more range of motion.

Do the exercise exactly as the video demonstrates. Try to follow along with the audio instructions.

    Tim

  • bench pressing 100kg is significantly easier than doing this with 3.5 kg

  • thank you, thank you, thank you

  • Dear Tim,

After watching this video I tried while lying in side lying position to do it, without moving my scapula, just concentrating on the rotators, and it was so difficult to do it properly. I got angry, that it was so difficult.

After struggling for a while and being able to one full rep (properl) could not hold it very long, but my neck and shoulder immediately felt more balanced. ITs so tough to do it right tho, but the payoff is great.

    Thanks for the video!

  • Your experience is typical, but not normal.

    You have rotator cuff weakness.

It will progress, perhaps 5 or 10 years to a frank tear and eventual surgery.

    Get it better now.

Strengthen the rotator cuff until you can do the exercise as described.

Rotator cuff surgery is painful and no fun.

    Tim

  • @cervelo58 Dear Tim, can this exercise help my shoulder Impingement Syndrome ? I mean by strengthen the muscles that support the shoulder and the shoulder cuff ? Thank you

  • this video is awesome. perfect for strengthening my shoulder / rotator cuff while watching tv.

are there any other good complementary videos out there?

  • I know I need surgery.. but my Dr wants me to go to shoulder therepy. I'm scared as hell because I'm scared they will accidently pop out my shoulder (It is very easly done). My Dr says if shoulder therepy doesn't work then they will concinder surgery. WHY CANT THEY JUST BELIEVE ME????

  • Dear Setfree2day,

Tell your therapist that you are scared and that you need an extra gentle approach.

Ask them to avoid 'end range movements'.

    Tim

  • no you don't know if you need surgery. U must try to rehab conservatively first because once surgery occurs, that's it. It is irreversible. Your body is likely to heal if you rehab correctly, that's why he suggested it.

  • If the discomfort is locatecd within the shoulder joint you may well have rotator cuff damage or possibly calcium deposits or bone spurs. I have had 2 rotator cuff surgeries after being symtamatic for 20 years with shoulder discomfort. If you neglect getting surgery in a timely manner you cause more damage, making the surgery more invasive thus causing a much longer recuperation period. Whatever you do, see an orthopedic who specializes in shoulders and SHOULDERS ONLY.

  • I've had a left(L)shoulder(S) prob for 2 yrs now. my LS is pulled forward from over-exercising the chest. Can't do any L side lateral raises or rear delts or back. I feel no pain but constant discomfort. Every time i workout my L S it feels like nothings happening.. can anyone help me out?

  • Mate,

I would seriously consider see a doctor or Physician.

Youtube isn't the best place for medical advice.

  • hehe.. lol. thats true. however i've tried soo many physiotherapists and even a shoulder specialist and they can't help.. so i thought what the bloody hell

  • two years and you have not sought help? what are you that cheap that you'd rather take advice on youtube where people know nothing? my friend, care a little about yourself and go see an especialist. your general MD knows crap about this.
