Violinoamore...I'm not sure what you mean by this comment? I see nothing wrong with the video I posted. In fact, it's a testament of Ricci's tenacity that he is still mentally sharp at 92 years of age. Of course, he can't play any longer, but he is still teaching and even though I am not a professional violinist but a physician, I have still learned an immense amount from him. I think you become a caricature if you are not true to yourself! Ricci has always been honest with his approach.
I am a violinist today because of growing up listening to Ricci and Heifetz LP Recordings. Still to this day he is my favorite recorded violinist. I never heard Corelli, Bach, Tartini, Paganini or Vieuxtemps though. So who knows? This is great to see him.

One should know when to stop doing things (however well he used to do them). Otherwise he may become one's own caricature :(

Ricci could well be the most-recorded violinist. Or Heifetz or Kaufman - who really knows?
