LoneArrow a couple of questions if I may: There is 1999 Ibanez S 540 Custom in my local guitar shop going for £450 (dropped from £650) in mint/A1 condition, same colour as yours. I see this as an investment but would appreciate your thoughts. Secondly do you have much knowledge on amplification? Namely the BlackStar HT60 & Marshall Haze 40?

@67GRC Hi dude... unfortuneately, relatively modern Ibanez guitars are unlikely to appreciate in value unless they are rare. The signature "Prestige" models are more valuable but even they probably won't increase in value. My 540S was the equivalent to a "prestige"... made in Japan as opposed to Korea and cost around £1000 in 1990... but probably wouldn't fetch half of that now! But then again... it's the only guitar I bought and never passed on!

@LoneArrowOne Thanks for taking the time to reply. I bought the Ibanez. 1998 it turns out and one of the last from Japan. Back of the neck is unusually traditional in the way the neck bar was inserted. The back was routed out and scarfed in with mahogany rather than being routed in under the fret board as with many necks. I love the feel of it. Unlike any other guitar I've picked up. A keeper for sure. Thanks for this video.

Thanks dude... re your version/same song: nice idea but you can't use a minor pentatonic scale for the chorus man! You nearly got away with it until you started bending... you gotta use a major scale for the chorus progression so when you bent that 3rd (pentatonic) note you were bending thru the flattened 5th of a pentatonic....it cannot be used there dude, cos it's not in the major scale!

No dude... the basic melody (or the vocal line in the original) is pretty straight forward. Nail that down first... then you can fill the rest out with your own style of playing and improvising. Nothing is "too hard"... if you're determined to do it dude!

C2/F2 - IBZ / USA. I have a ibanez rg560 with the same microphones and I love its sound, however would like to know if change on the michrophones can make me sound better.

I have thought about changing the pick-ups in the past... but having owned a few guitars (including a JS1000 with DiMarzio's)... I have concluded that the IBZ/F2 is just as good, if not better! As far as the C2's go, single coils... are single coils man! Be nice to have a humbucking p/u in the neck position, but I'm not about to start chopping holes in my guitar!
