i need help with this game.i have the original disk of zelda windwaker on gamecube and a classic controller pugged on my wiimote. my wii reads the disk and i start the game. but during loading the titlescreen of windwaker the connection of my wiimote loses, and it wont reconnect. then im stuck and my wii loses the remote EVRY time i try to play windwaker. does anyone know what causes this problem and how to get rid of it?

@wopsieneter that's happening to you because the wii is kinda stupid in that aspect. In order to play a gamecube game on the wii you need a gamecube controller. You cant use the classic controller because with the wii you are still able to use your old gamecube controllers. I know this kinda sucks if you got rid of all your cube controllers. I had to go buy some after i found this out.

@wopsieneter The Wii sorta has a small Gamecube in it and switches to using the Gamecube. It doesen't have any wireless so it can't send signals to the Wiimote

Yeah, unfortunately they cut out a bunch of content from Wind Waker to save on production time. It's part of the reason the Triforce Hunt was so blasted boring. Miyamoto himself came out and apologized for the incomplete content.

"At the end of the production we fought against the clock and there were parts that I was forced to approve even though it didn't feel complete... I apologize that we didn't fix the Triforce hunt at the end of the game. It was slow and dull."

The hunt for the Triforce of courage pieces.

First you got a map that tells you where other maps are, so you sail around the ocean finding all the maps, then you sail around the ocean collecting enough money to make Tingle decipher the maps (you'd think the jerk would do it for free, after all you saved him when he was in jail), then once you finally have all the maps you have to sail around looking for the actual pieces of the Triforce of Courage.

Twas a pain in the ass.

You probably forgot because you subconsciously blocked the memories out due to all the freaking trauma the whole ordeal caused.

It was a massive waste of time. At the very least it should have been made into an optional quest, if not removed altogether.

Yeah the watering tree's thing was there, but it was optional (thank god).

As I recall, the Triforce hunt was basically put there to make the game longer. They could have used any number of methods to give Link the Triforce of Courage. If they had put in the extra two dungeons, then they probably would have been less inclined to throw in the Triforce hunt as a waste of time.

Of course if they'd just delayed the game's release date and made the extra dungeons (maybe made the Triforce of Courage the prize for beating them) then it would have been even better.

As it is Wind Waker is still one of my favorite Zelda games though.

With Phantom Hourglass you just set the whole course ahead of time, then you'd shoot down enemies and such with the canon while you wait to arrive at your destination. There were more things in the sea to see as well.

You might run into pirates or other things for example.
