He is a PERFECT example of what you are talking about. He uses lyricism to personify issues he has experience with that fans can also relate to, and he intricately connects himself to a contrast of Frank Sinatra giving him his alter ego as a YOUNG SINATRA

I'm not gonna lie, but its like you've read my mind. I'm 15, and I personally do not like Waka Flocka, and the reason is, from what he said, he doesn't have lyrics. Not that lyrics is the MOST important, but it's quite important, even with some the catchiest songs too. I do believe that lyrics do play apart of gaining fame in mainstream, because you can't just have a great beat, and have little lyrics. Lyrics in mainstream are the sweet icing and cherry on top of the cake.
