Funny thing that youtube is full of NW songs played by her on her solo tours....I think she should focus more on playing hew own stuff. She's a great singer but she's nothing without Tumoas. On the other hand NW isn't the same anymore but they moved on and they sound great. Her music is less than mediocre. Sorry for her....

Tarja released 2 rock and 2 classical albums. They sold gold in all Europe.

Then she also has Harus, a classical oriented band.

Her repertoire is on of the richest existing at this moment and YT is loaded with them.

In Finland, both Tarja and Nightwish PRE-sold their albums platinum, because of their fame and because Finland is a tiny country. With thousand record sales you get platinum.

Tarja lost nothing after the split, she keeps getting better as a singer and as a composer and she started parrallel classical/neo-classical projects (BatB and Harus) which are great and gather a huge audience.

As a marketing "product", she sold gold and platinum in Europe, so did NW.

Interesting fact: there are many NW fans in Tarja rock gigs, but if somebody became a fan for Tarja solo without knowing NW first, won't automatically become a NW fan.

Imho that's because NW now is "big" in people's conscience because Tarja made them great. Without her they are just another metal band. Good band, but nothing special.

When they took separate ways, each side lost something.On the other hand, I prefer listening to Tarja's solo albums, than the new NW songs. For example, they play in the Schleyer- Halle (that's the biggest hall in Stuttgart, a german city) and there can be something like 7.000 to 10.000 or even more people and I know Tarja doesn't play in the Schleyer-Halle.
