Yeah nice unit. I will echo the comment "DON'T RE-PAINT THE SP!!" Southern Pacific C44-9Ws look awsome you should weather it a little bit and then keep it. Also DON'T PATCH IT. The UP patch ruins the scheme.

My c39s coming along good, runs like a rolex watch, it would be cool if we could pair them up together since mine is ex-conrail, now ns #8204, and yours is an ns. Too bad they retired all the c39 and c32-8s. But if I were you, I'd use an atlas c30-7 underframe, the u33c has incorrect trucks and fuel tank, and bli is too expensive.

Maybe you could leave the Dash 9 in SP paint, maybe add a patch and weather it up and just use it as run through power. Just a suggestion. It's a Kato, right?
