Thats right, sorry, memory laps, i think i have one somewhere, i was going to say usually stars are just a pin point of light but that is if you are using very expensive equipment to view them, at least your video comes out at better quality than mine, maybe i need to invest in something a lot better than i have, I know the two that are close together at the moment are Venus and Jupiter, only because i checked up on The sky at night web page, they will be getting closer as the days pass i think.

Yep dude you know it's Venus. I seen it like that morning after Thanksgiving 2010. Blew my mind. I was scared to go on-line for fear an asteroid was comin' at me. Cops are told by air traffic controllers when Venus is gonna freak like this, because for sure people will be freaking about it.

I swear this morning it looked like one of those freak Star Of Bethlehem things that wealthy religious people have been known to float up on a big balloon with battery powered lights.

I saw Venus AND Saturn however, on the same night this video was filmed.

the best visibility was back in October last year when Venus, Jupiter and the Moon lined up to form a smiley face, but it was only visible in the southern hemisphere. Australians got a great view of it. Up here in the north I only got to see a pair of cosmic 'eyes' , still impressive!

The Cosmos are simply amazing :) I get lost on a clear night, just staring at the sky.

Yes Venus does orbit the sun. it has an extremely short orbit, which is far smaller than Earth's, as Venus is rather close to the sun, a LOT closer than Earth.

Venus is behind the sun for most of the day, whilst the sun is in our sky... sometimes during the day you'll spot venus if the positioning is right.

Like I said though, if you don't believe me, get a telescope and learn astronomy. It's a lot of fun, and truly fascinating to see Venus with your own eyes. It's always been visible..

There was a point last year at which both Jupiter AND Venus were visible together in the sky. But even better, they aligned (in Australia) with the crescent moon, forming a big SMILEY FACE in the night sky, google that too, there were tons of photos taken of it :)
