Also it is pH not Ph or PH. The letters stand for potential of Hydrogen so it is important to always use an uppercase H for Hydrogen.

If you are concerned about kids try breaking the cabbage apart with your hands and soaking it overnight in water, and your results will be:
No giant containers of scalding, boiiing water, No large, sharp knifes,
just cabbage juice
and best of all...
