  • This dude is bad ass!

  • 12:30-13:00...lame, he could have shot the center of the steel, especially at only four-hundred yards

  • 75% parts commonality between two different platforms isn't new. When the AK 74 came out, it features just about the same amount of parts common on it's older brother the AK47

  • @Excalibur01 Even though a new bolt can just be dropped in any olde AK without checking the headspace.

  • I do respect both of these men immensely but I don't like the way Larry went on to mention that the Russians were behind the US (even if it's true) and stating it's beyond where they could ever go. It just seems like arrogance to me, I get that nationally it's very nice having such an effect piece of kit but if it's about national pride; the thing's from Belgium... To me it just seems like he's dropping in subtle cheap shots, I thought someone like him would be more open minded.

  • scar H over m14 no way larry!

  • Belgium Rifle

  • My favorite Gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i play cod and i own guns wats so bad about that

  • ACR episode? :D Don't worry, I'm not a COD fanboy, I just like ACR's...

  • @bbqandfirearms It's because they're actually really comfortable.

  • careful now. the russians will just come out with a supped up an-94 type super sniper just to prove you wrong.

  • That shit is made in Belgium but hes speaking as usa has the credits against russians,,,

The main point in my way of seeing this is that there's no need for weapons if you dont start the wars.

  • If they shot each others foot it would have been fking hilarious 7:45

  • SOCOM didn't dump the Heavy variant. I'm a gamer and a shooter. I like jokes about pizza and pizza itself. Larry is definitely overweight in this clip and with no doubt still quite lethal. Having lots of ammunition is good and having lots of big bore bullets is also good. The SCAR is made by an American branch of a Belgian company, with about 50 million of US taxes going into R&D. I think I covered everything. The real issue here is the cost of the SCAR-H and its proprietary mags. Its robbery.

  • strobe editing suck donkey balls

  • thats why I have an ebr stock for my m14. plenty modular and recoil is better

  • Do american soldiers get to choose what gun they carry in a warzone, Iraq for example?

  • @lobzdik No you get an M16A4. If you go through special training you can get an M4. Even more training you can get an M9 pistol. Train in support and you can get an M249. Spec ops does though. Theres no Gov issue for Delta or SEALs. There pretty strict about it.

  • @chrisknife1 sorry his question wasnt spesific umm thats how it is for every branch and every part like marines or u.s. rangers?

  • @chrisknife1 does thats count for every branch of the military and every program like marines and u.s. army rangers?

  • @chrisknife1 Special training for an M4? I had an M4 in basic lol. the m16 is virtually non existant in the army now. if you are an NCO or above you'll be issued an m9. being issued something is a random thing. whatever is needed is what you'll recieve. If a 249 or 240b gunner is needed. then you can be issued that. There's no special training for them lol

  • Well Clint you little shit,I cant get a mag.How about send me one.I bought it paid a premium .If my mag goes down I got a very expensive single shot.FN IF i HAD THIS TO DO OVER AGAIN,i would buy a slingshot ,

  • Ahhh, but you can still modify Pmags to fit them =).

  • scars are trash, socom dumped them.

  • 'm from Singapore and I think these new advances in weaponry truly is amazing. However, our terrain is mainly jungle and urban setting, with hardly any open field without very dense foliage.

A slightly cumbersome battle rifle like the SCAR H would lose out to the nimbleness of a bullpup 5.56mm. The compactness of a rifle is what is required in jungle fighting, something that would allow you to fire around corner, also to lower the burden of carrying heavier ammo.

  • @ConstantineJoseph I'm no soldier but I can tell you I'd rather lug a scar-h for the extra punch to fight through foliage and concealment because hunting wise a 5.56 is no jungle round.

  • @tacamo21 I Understand your point of view. In jungle warfare, a 7.62 might penetrate some foliage compared to a 5.56. However, in areas where you can't resupply easily, the 5.56 is a wiser choice as you can carry much more ammunition. The SCAR H comes usually with a 20 round mag, the M4 or M16 has a 30rd STANAG. M16 muzzle velocity is very high and deadly at close quarters. In a jungle, you can't see more than 20-30m where Fighting is always within such ranges.

    Horses for courses though.

  • @ConstantineJoseph But in close combat you need a big stopping power to prevent your enemy from hitting you while he was shot first (that s the principle of a shotgun) and the stopping power of a 7.62 is much bigger than from a 5.56 (this cartridge was made to injure, because behind 1 injured man stands 4 others to help him = 5 men out of combat but terrorists and others leave there men behind so injuring them is useless, u need to stop them!!!

  • damn. i dont know if getting rid of the m-16 family is a good idea. its an american made product. the SCAR is mostly european. i feel that europeans are making money out of our troops

  • 20 years ctually it said it in the beggining of the thing

  • @Strelnikov10 Larry Vickers the fat dude your talking about use to be member of Delta Force. 30 year Vet assaulter. His team went down in history to rescue American Frank Muse from Panamanian prison. Its one of the succesful rescue mission done by our elite forces. Of course he gain weights bcuz hes retired now. Hes just a reps for various firearm mfgrs, instructor, and TV host. Hes well respected in gun community. I cant believe you didnt know that. Your probably a gamer.

  • @breakurselff I do know who he is. Just giving props for a funny joke (the one with the pizza). I am not a gamer buddy, I'm an infantryman with the united states army... a combat veteran. What are you? Do I not have the right to think a comment is funny? Have a sense of humor bro, life is too short.

  • @breakurselff couldn't of said it better myself.... thumbs up

  • Bravo Company, 3rd Batt. 32nd IR.. this rifle was my baby.. damn accurate at 1000m.. hooooooah!

  • This guy looks like he loves guns and pizza...

  • @carlosinfl I've gotta agree. I love how all these "tactical" guys are so fat. Good show though!

  • @Strelnikov10 larry vickers is one bad motherfuckers. he was hand picked for Delta. most rangers and SF fail to go to Delta.

  • @marbito11 Hey, I ain't reading his biography, I just thought the guys comment about pizza was funny. Are you his publicist or something. No need to get defensive. He has a pretty good show and some pretty good insight, though some of it is outdated. Not knockin' the show or the guy at all, just giving props for a funny comment.

  • @Strelnikov10 ok, but be aware of the guy you are making fun of. dont let his looks fool you. this guy is a legend in the spec ops community. has more cred than most navy seals

  • @marbito11 I know who his is and what he's done. That has nothing to do with the guy's original joke (the joke about the pizza). It was just a funny joke... I don't care who the joke was about. You cannot deny... larry vickers has gotten pretty fat... that makes the joke funny.

  • @Strelnikov10 yeah, he is pretty fat. i wonder if he was that fat or chubby during his delta force days.

  • @marbito11 I'm willing to bet.... no. There is no way he could have been. He wouldn't make it in regular infantry being that fat... probably couldn't pass an Army PT test. But in his day, I'm sure he was in top shape.

  • @Strelnikov10 You'd be surprised how physically capable a fat man can be... That said, it's pretty obvious to me what is going on here. People who have very physically demanding jobs get used to the amount and type of food they can (or have to) eat while performing such work. Then they get a new job and keep eating the same way. You see it with retired professional athletes all the time.

  • @Nater245689 Why do you people feel the need to defend him. It was just a funny joke. Have a sense of humor.

  • @Strelnikov10 Just stating the obvious. If I wanted to defend him, I'd talk about how someone who's been shooting a gun for more than a month and a half would be know about all Vickers has done for the civilian shooting community.

  • @Nater245689 The guy made a fucking joke, relax. And I have spent more than a month shooting.... and a years worth of that shooting was with living people on the business end of my rifle in fucking afghanistan. What have you done? You wouldn't be caught dead talking down to someone in my shoes anywhere but the internet. You need to lighten up and have a sense of humor. Larry Vickers is not immune to jokes.... it was a funny joke. You act like he's your fucking dad.

  • @carlosinfl Haha, if you knew anything about Larry Vickers you would shut up. All those guys are on these shows for a reason, they are good at what they do. Larry Vickers is definately no exception.

  • Should win! Kind of like a hotter super sexy Garand!
