hey I have not watched any Macross anime, but this looks really cool. wikipedia says that this is the third series in the Macross universe. Do I need to watch the other two series in the universe in order to understand what is going on, or can i pick up watching it with this latest series?

To be honest you don't really need to, you can watch the series as is. There are of course more than three series to the anime.

If you have a look at the other older seasons, you can get a better of understanding of the entire series as a whole. Which would make Frontier a lot, a lot more interesting since the entire anime itself actually spans on a timeline.

Macross Zero (5 30 minute episodes)

Macross Frontier

You can get along with just watching Frontier, but watch all of it if you can, trust me you won't regret it.

thanks I think when I am done with Macross Frontier (because I am already on like episode 20) I will start from the begining! but first I am going to watch some other anime so that I can diversify my anime watching. Like I have yet to see Neogenesis Evangelion.

To be honest...this is one of the best Macross Frontier AMV's I have seen yet :P Just as Mr.March said, this was a great tribute. Your AMV reminded me of how I felt when I first witnessed all the eye-candy battle scenes through my first run of Macross Frontier.

Very nostalgic and once again, a great tribute. I wish there was some way I could repay all your effort but all I can say is thanks for sharing all the hard work you put into this.

I'm glad that you enjoyed this. I'm a long time Macross fan, avid AMV creator, and I felt that I can finally show my love for Macross. And I felt the anime itself doesn't get the respect that it truly deserves in this industry. I haven't seen any actual well made Frontier AMVs.
