@CDW1968 It has been over a year since I commented on this ladies ability to sing opera. Her rendition of 'Un Bel Di Vedremo' was out of this world. I have listened to all the other professional classical singers and none can match Marcella's ability to put sheer passion and feeling into it. Please please tell her to record a classical album with this aria on it.

If Joe Macaldry can do it she definately can!

awww :( The moment she admitted she wanted to win and thought she actually could, she shot herself in the foot - it's daft, but even if it might be the truth (that she was good enough to win) the British public will always take such a proclamation as boastful and big-headed, whether it's merited or not. Any future non-Brit performers on a British show should take note as it's an opinion that's unlikely to change in future ...

This just shows how incredible her range is. Opera singers are the best singers in the world. After watching this I have a lot more respect for the top sopranos in the world, they are truly amazing!!!

I can understand that you are fans of her.. I am just writing behalf of other real opera singers.

You dont becoma an opera singer in 2 weeks, and this whole show should be banned, because it gives so wrong idea from our profession.

If you sing pop music, you may have alittle band behind you, and you sing what ever.. but singing something that someone has composed decades a go, working with traditions, and surviving from whole hours long performance on front of the big symphony orchestra is

Opera is seriously like an olympic sport. you must be WELL TRAINED!!! u cant just run a marathon..u must be well trained!! ughh this bugs me so much!!!

Talent, tradition, sync. with conducter, orchestra and choir, remembering hours of music in foreign language, acting on front of the live audiens. I dont like this show.. She has just naturally high voice, that we have heard already while she has sang pop music. She is making vibra to her voice, it is not natural, and I hate the fact people think that you can become an operasinger in 2 weeks. I have sang 10 years, and I think I am still not ready. I am a classical singing student, and I really believe she is amazing. I'm not really familiar with this show (or this woman), but she has one of the best voices I've heard from this contest.

Unfortunately a lot of it is down to popularity rather than talent. Bernie Nolan and Darius have had a lot more visibility in recent years. On talent alone Marcella should win hands down, and I think she could genuinely do this professionally.

I think Marcella is superb. She has a superb voice and I disolved into tears when I heard her sing aria from Madam Butterfly.

The ending could have gone on longer. It seemed an awkward end but not her fault at all. Whoever arranged the music is to blame. Needless to say, MARCELLA was amazing. She is too hard on herself. She and her voice are brilliant and glorious. Those two that critiqued her negatively can fornicate themselves with an iron stick. Ive watched all the others and Marcy is by far, the MOST TALENTED of them all. They can't hold a candle to her. Congrats to Marcy. Keep it up!
