so it sounds like the Genesis' were working, then what's with the cefx engine. if one wasn't working, isn't one enough like the Texas Eagle? and does a cefx crew run the engine and the amtrak crew relaxes, or is it an amtrak crew?  are the amtrak crew still getting paid?

I once was on #8, it was like 5 or 6 hours late and in St Paul they put a Soo SD-60 on it, which had a top speed of like 65 or something like that... It was a very long trip to Chicago! Got there at like 1030pm! (Still looked good with a Soo Line unit pulling though)

Wow great catch!! And as for a leaser...I don't think that the passengers give a darn what pulls the train, as long as it gets good speed and moves them towards their destination. At least, I would be happy.

Lol, of course! I think I get pretty spoiled when it comes to SOO though. It's nice having them on the local, then I can see them all the time. :) And CP is pretty good about sending SOO through.
