The action usually involved the main character getting saved by someone else (I don't recall any of the characters' names, sorry). There were only two or three mildly exciting scenes. Other than that, I found the book to be horribly tedious and boring. This is only my opinion, but I have to say, Foundling is down there on my least favorite books list. Everyone has their own taste.
I'm sorry you disagree with me, but that gives you no reason to insult me. Sorry for having an opinion. I really did not notice much action, as opposed to a book like "Wizard's First Rule" which is crammed with action.
i love all of the hungry city books they're so cool. My fav is the first and second. i did like darkling plain but the ending was sad...i cried. i cry at all books. before i die is the saddest book ever
yey i love books! i love adventure books but all different kinds.
has anyone read The Eyre Affair? its so cool, about this alternate world where this character called Thursday Next is a literary detective and she has to rescue Jane Eyre who has been kidnapped. its by Jasper Fforde and is really funny and she has a pet dodo called pickwick.
phillip reeve said that he couldnt imagine mortal engines as movie because the companies would change the story too much and would want hester to be pretty as well as it mostly being cgi
I always imagined Hester has half stunningly beautiful, half horrifically hideous. The scarred side of her face would be so overpoweringly disturbing that you wouldn't even notice her normal side. You know the movie would suck though. Hester would probably be way to feminine (even though she's way more manly than Tom). And of course it would be mostly CGI. I don't think they'd actually build mile-wide cities on wheels.
I mostly listened to this because i'm researching FEED. I agree with almost everything you said except i expected that it would end like that though The main characters actions surprised me. It is probably one of the best books i've ever read. Its so good. I agree, though, it was really depressing
I'm not sure if you said in the video that your taking ''Book Review'' requests or not.....but I know your channel, and I know your favorite band is The White Stipes.
So you should definetly check out ''Fell in love with a band'' by Chris Handyside
Its a biography about the White Stripes rise to fame, told by one of Jack White's good friends. I had just finished it.....It wasnt the best, but definetly something you should check out!
Great idea for new videos. I read feed a few years ago, very interesting take on the future of technoology. I'll read airborn now. Keep up the juggling videos!
an awesome series is Maximum Ride, by james patterson. i've tried reading airborn but couldn't get past the first chapter. i might try it again after seeing this though. i like the book reveiw idea though, good choices too.
Airborn is fantastic, trust me. The characters are very easy to relate to. I've looked at Maximum Ride a few times, and it doesn't look too interesting to me. Not sure if I'm up for the whole "teens with wings" idea...
foundling does have action and there arnt ferries in it or wizards

orcaman15 3 years ago
Airborn. Eh, heard it was going to be a movie but Kenneth oppel said the script was disappointing.

Go Grintoth! Juggling is much more creative and interesting than cubing. Thank you for the book reviews.

giving up cubing for books doesnt sound too bad (sarcasm)

Uhh, let's see. Playing with a plastic puzzle, or reading. Hmm...
Grintoth 3 years ago
good point. Solving cubes is a fun way to kill time, but doesn't really benefit one's life in any way. I wanna see some more juggling videos!!!
