You are not leaving it in too long. Naptural85 leaves her mini-twists in for 4 weeks. Your twists are a bit larger so I would leave them in at least 2 weeks.

A week in twists is totally fine. Some people keep them a month! Lots of people find that washing their hair with the twists in causes tangles. So be careful if you're thinking of going that route.
natural nazi's lol. I'm sick of them too. Telling me because I wear my hair straight that it's not natural. Hell, IT IS natural. I wash my hair, section it off into 6 plaits to air dry. I blow dry each section with a comb attachment. If i roll itI roll it. If I curl it I curl it. There's no chemicals in it, so what's not natural ? When they chew your drawers throw in an extra pair for ME.
