  • Now, almost 10 years later, I still do those exercises and drills and I am in fantastic shape now. RIP Coach Szymaszek, you will be always remembered.

Also, I am a great artist and art is a passion of mine, and his wife is Diane Szymaszek and was my advanced art teacher and she helped me greatly to refine my skills my last year of high school.

  • I played high school football briefly under him and his wife was my high school art teacher (Diane Szymaszek). They were both wonderful people. When I had to quit the football team for various reasons, I had too much respect for him to just leave, so I stuck around and did the 3 days of hellacious bootcamp-like training and finished all of that, THEN after all of the hard stuff that's when I gave him my notice that I was quitting. I did it respectable and to his face, I felt he deserved that.

  • I played with Rob at Maloney High back in the late 60's a remarkable young man .Didn't know he passed since living in Hawaii from 81. I have great memories of our days at Maloney. Way to go Rob. I never forgot you.
