You're a good actor Tom. I saw you as Ivan Brackenbury a couple of years ago and it was a really good performance, when I was about 13 you were on this sport show called Under The Moon and I always thought you were pretty funny on that.
Great film. Strong concept. A really fun lead performance. Cheeky writing. Sweet direction. Definitely re-watchable. Excellent to see it getting some good hits.
I liked it. I'm not in the film world, but I thought that both the obvious and less obvious jokes were delivered with good understatement (some) and great timing. I'll keep a look out for more from you! Seem to cut away from the very last comment just a moment too soon (almost like there was a problem that needed to be hid or something) not giving the viewer quite enough time to appreciate your/his own defeat implicit in the comment itself.
And neither was I, so fair point. Incidentally (but not that it makes much difference), in the script that last line was supposed to be delivered by the cameraman. I think we tried it, but decided it was better coming from Tom.
i agree with cheekychen, the ending looked like you rushed it - but the whole story-line a very imaginative and creative. To be honest, i really liked it.
There were some strong points here. Would have benefitted from a leg breaking scene. A long, detailed, graphic and tarantino like leg breaking scene. Come to think of it, if there was JUST a leg breaking scene and everything else was cut out it would have been much more satisfying to watch. The guy is kind of annoying.
No "High concept" refers to the style and mode of production. The plot of a high concept movie is easily understood by audiences, and can often be described in a sentence or two, and succinctly summarized by the movie's title. High concept movies feature relatively simple characters and a heavy reliance on conventions of film genre.

The concept is good but if you were to release this on DVD you have screwed yourself in trying to come up with "extra features" ;)

I can't stand writers who write about writing. it just shows absolutely no sign of imagination what so ever.
but if ur gonna try and be post-post-post modern, atleast make it better than this lame piece o shit!

Thats quite a clever concept there mixed with comedy. I like how they over exagerate camera angles, especially the trumbone shot. Very Witty

Awesome (except that 'high concept' means Hollywood, so they would have big names...)
Still good though!

Dude, I've done film studies for 3 years, I know what high concept means! And you're wrong!
thewerepuppygrr 4 years ago
You should go and correct Wikipedia then, sorry, just going by what it said there.
higgypopuk 4 years ago
lol yeah. It's a shame that wikipedia can be changed by anyone. Good film choice though, this is a clever vid.
