Ironic. One of my first jobs was in a factory. On my first day they put me on a buttkicking job. Sitting down on a stool going through these small round metal tubes and filing the ends of them-very similar to what is going on in this video. Kind of to see if i had what it takes.

Not only did i make it, i had to do this without the luxury of a table-i had to hold the part across my knee.

I know that working conditions in China are bad, but from what is shown in this video is not bad at all.

It hurts local and indigenous economies and it hurts the land, actually depleting earth's arable land. Not only that, but societies based on farming live happy, content lives. Serfs in mid evil times had far more leisure time and holidays then we do in the US today.

When there is a big crop failure in a certain region, the people of that region are pretty much fucked because they can't borrow from other regions (everyone produces just enough to sustain themselves and a tiny profit, that's why its called subsistence farming). Chinese people know this, China have been a subsistence-farming culture for almost all of its history.

In the event of a war with, or invasion by, another country that country would have to rely on weapons imported from other countries because it can't produce any for itself (cause no factories). That's why those agricultural countries (usually called undeveloped/third world) are often so easy to invade or conquer. Just look at how the US conquered Afghanistan so easily.
