Hi, can you please tell me the name and artist of the first song on this video..it sound slike you're singing "Gone gone gone gone gone gone...ya ya ya"...it sounds so nice. I have the RC20XL and would like to learn that song and incorporate the harmonies.
Thanks very kindly (from a Master even!)- It's thanks to YouTube and your videos that gave me the go ahead to start looping and finally the DVD "Live Looping in the House" was great instruction after that. I've been looping for about 8 months now and have added a bass on an Embrace stand and a submixer for electric guitar as well. I'll have to tape some more shows soon.
My daughter and I are Christian musicians in the mountains of Colorado. Check out her YouTube vids. Search EIRENMAIDEN. On her next ones, she'll be looping some harmonies thanks to your demonstration. Thanks!
Ever come west? I'd love to see you perform live...
that was my next step, rc-50. Does it allow me to keep a rythmn up as I turn off a chord based loop, like for accapella parts or switching chord changes?
in short yes - in long what I like to do is lay a rhythm down palm muted 'chicka' maybe high hat with my mouth and kick with a light tap on the saddle for a measure or so on phrase one and for phrase two (let's say for Hotel California) lay down the first round of fingerpicking then the second to add the 12 string effect - singing starts -
when I get to the chorus I cut phrase 2 leaving the rhythm going and then start it after the chorus - for the double/harmony lead at the end I record the first round overdubbing on phrase 2 play the harmony and hit the undo function to continue more lead. you could do that with phrase 2 but have to worry about stopping at the right moment to play the lead in time. any more questions feel free to ask :)
good stuff bro, I do live looping as well with a boss rc-20xl pedal. If your intersted check my live loop videos. Great harmony vocals on yours man i love it.
Right back atcha brother! I love what you are doing and why you're doing it! I use the RC-50 for Casting Crowns and Jars of Clay and other CC tunes. I'd like to see a few more. Check out the RC-50 sometime - It allows you to add your own percussion/harmonies/etc Thanks for your kind words - God Bless!
