  • the 80s 90s hotpoints were fab machine, like lego but in a good way same thing in a diff box for many years, easy 2 fix only the motor brushes wore out regualy, bearings easy 2 do, pumps simple, door rubbers easy , only thing bad was when indesit took over & made them in2 the pile of old tosh they are now LOL

  • I met this man when i had a tour of the factory in 1997!

  • I was at the filming of this advert...Doug was a genuine employee

  • @darrenposh kool sounds impressive :)

  • @jps1988 more people probably have Bekos because they are so cheap :p

  • Its a shame that Hotpoint doesn't do that now, as they are cheaply made and not built to last

  • @kgt88 Hmm yeah I agree mate, nothing is built to last these days, its like throwing out Mars bars and let the cash roll in, as the population grows the more products to make equals bad quality.

  • @kgt88 To be fair they were still pretty cheaply made back in the 90s, but because of a simple design they basically lasted because you could fix them cheaply, were mainly DIY etc. I bet Hotpoint doesn't have 6 million machines across the country now which is sad really :(
