  • A True Star - Billy never got the reconition he Deserved

  • Rock on Billy! My mums favorite artist! glad she introduced me to his music!

  • God takes all the legends! He wants them all to himself . . please god create another legend like this in the 2000s . . so it will be 'like he's never been gone'

  • Great, he knows how to punctuate a song-on the words 'Like I've never been gone'

  • it really is just like billy has never been gone, his music will live forever

  • check my videos i sing this song live im only 20

  • Billy Fury was never given the acclaim he fully deserved in the U.K. He was one of the Greatest singers of his generation, and the nearest thing to Evis that the U.K. Ever produced.

  • loved billy fury so young to be gone

  • so god damn sexy! <3

  • The great Billy Fury singing a beautiful song. You will never be gone Billy as long as we can still listen to your beautiful voice and look at your lovely face and remember how great you were. RIP .

  • 3 PEOPLE WENT FOR A WHILE AND WHEN CAME BACK IT WAS NOT LIKE THEY'VE NEVER BEEN GONE.

  • @5151emily. . .you're quite right, Billy was unique, he veered away the straight forward singing style of his contemporaries and made his songs and style his own and unmistakably so. Lots of girls(and boys) loved Billy for that and still do today !!

  • I am back again listening to this beautiful song sung so brilliantly by Billy. I can't imagine anyone singing this better than Billy Fury. Every time I listen to it I get teary eyed. The words are just so haunting. and his voice is so melodious! FOR ME BILLY YOU WILL NEVER BE GONE! I will always love you. RIP .

  • Memories are made ot this !

    What an artist he was.

  • Have to keep listening to this song as it is so beautiful and so very sad. Miss Billy so much! What a loss. Thank goodness we have him on records and captured on film! Such a great artist and so beautiful.

  • This is such an incredibly romantic song. Why oh why can't men be like this nowadays?! A slow dance, a song on the record player...oh yes I could live with that :)

  • RIP mate your music will never die

  • Britains Elvis.

  • nice one. thanks.

  • OH my G-D!!! Billy was so amazing. Beautiful voice and he wrote a number of his own songs. (So unheard of in those days especially when you are that goodlooking !) he was the complete package and was a very shy sweet guy. Really missed , so sad to have gone so early. What a waste. Hopefully he is duetting with Elvis up there! RIP BILLY. Love you so much.

  • He was undoubtedly one of the best of his time. He had a distinctive voice and great presence on stage. And you knew you were watching somebody when you saw him. The memory of him, even now after all these years, is still very real.

  • Saw him loads of times, he had great charisma on stage, still miss you Billy x

  • I agree he was great.

  • MY HUSBAND GREW UP TO ALL OF BILLY;S MUSIC AND STILL LOVES IT AS MUCH TO DAY AS 45 YEARS OR MORE .....LONG LIVE THE THE KING OF ROCK N ROLL....

  • He was brilliant and as I had not heard him in a long time, this really moved me ! and thankyou also for those great pictues. So tragic to be taken at such an early age. R.I.P.

    Billy xx

  • Fabulous so gorgeous the way he sings these words. Marty Wide does a great tribute.

    Muriel xxx

  • Showed elvis how it should be done

  • @2Cute949 Are you demented I like Billy but he was one of a hundred Elvis "Impersonators" who sprang up at the same time, he was just a lot better then most, never had a number one because he was not as good as others. Cliff Richard had 14 number one's add in the five that the Shadows had and that makes them bigger then the Beatles in the UK. Great guy Billy and good performer, but lets get real.

  • @bunternut For you to dismiss Billy Fury as just "one of a hundred Elvis impersonators who sprang up" is - to put it politely - plain daft. Quite obviously, you've never heard the 10inch "Sound of Fury" album - self-written, and generally recognized by any informed person as British rock n roll's finest moment. Bar none.

  • @circles69 hi to all billy fury fan's billy fury was the brittish elivs presley as i am a big fan of elivs presley and also billy fury if he did not deid early in his life he be better than cliff richard sorry upsetting cliff fans

  • At that time I was jiving in Soho, Dean Street LES ENFANTS TERRIBLES, it was 1961, my girl friend at that time was telling me that she had been his former girl friend. I wasn't jealous though. I always liked Billy .

  • The Billy Fury Story in a couple off weeks at Northwich Memorial Hall,

just like the old days , in the Sixties.

    I'm going, Boardey.

    See you there.

  • @boardey Can you send them down to Solihull in the West Mids please.

  • Just a Great guy, brings great memories back, and always will. You are always there Billy. THE BEST

  • fantastic artist

  • It's an absolute crime this man didn't achieve a UK number 1 single. It certainly wasn't down to any lack of talent and his songs were always brilliant. I guess that's just the way the mop flops sometimes. This man was a fabulous singer, a credible rocker and a much under-rated songwriter. Brilliant, in other words.

  • :O Look at these pictures! ;) Gorgeous! x ♥.

  • This song makes me cry as it;s so beautiful

  • just found my billy fury cd behind a drawer yesterday thats been there for yonks and today is me bday and today billy is being played and today im getting drunk!!!! lol

  • Just divine, as I always remember him even though I am 61 he has always remained my heart throb, his voice was amazing and he was just as good live

  • Elvis would'nt have been so popular today if Billy Had have been stronger and lived, billy was the best ....soooooo sexy with a wonderful voice

  • Billy was so under estimated.....bit like Dusty....slipped away but now do we know how good they were......Bit late ! story of Brit Music really......when its gone its gone 1

  • Billy was so under estimated.....bit like Dusty....slipped away but now do we know how good they were......Bit late !

  • OMG...He's a combination of Elvis, James Dean, and Steve Prefontaine ! And, like all 3...a major, irreplaceable loss!!!!

  • hi all good song ..... if any1 wants the chords for the guitar .. watch my vid..and inbox me their are 19 altogether!!!!!!!

  • Didn't need X Facture in those days, True talent Billy thank you for giving us your voice.

  • @Antematter

Check Billy's version of a song called "Because of Love". It's better than Elvis's version. [From Elvis's film Girls, Girls, Girls]....though Elvis's is the original.

  • Reminds me of my first love Patricia Ann Taylor who broke my heart so long ago.Wonderful song, wonderful man.

  • the beatles were shite compared to you billy

  • @CRANSHAWS555 Let's face it, the " Beatless " were shite.... Period !

  • @edwardianbob Billy Fury was indeed a great talent but only a numbskull would call The Beatles Shite

  • Comment removed

  • @CRANSHAWS555 I liked Billy too, but The Beatles were never shite compared to anyone.

  • Waiting to watch the next , Billy Fury Story at some theatre in the Manchester area soon. Any one tell me when and where.

  • spot on royston , he was , and is , still magic

  • Many people sing , occassionally someone like billy comes along, he had the 'magic dust' in his voice which few people have, just listen to the many tribute artists on youtube and compare with the real thing, you will see what I mean. He was a major talent .

  • It's great to watch this video. He was a great singer and a very good looking man

  • Seen him live once in the early 60's at the Colston Hall in Bristol. First pop concert I ever went to, I was about 13 and went with the 2 teenage girls next door. For raw excitement, best pop concert I ever went to. Fury on stage was electric.

Also remember him on TV shows like Thank Your Lucky Stars, very intense and exciting to watch.

Halfway To Paradise always been my fav Billy Fury record.

  • At the end of the day, Billy Boy died of a heart . I had the honour/privilege to meet him, a few days before he died, and he was the loveliest Guy!

  • oooooh Billy Fury what a talent, what a singer, saw him perform at Wembley Stadium was fantastic

  • wrong billy fury did not die of a heart attack he had a a fever that damaged his heart and organs

  • RIP BILLY FURY juat awesome what a voice awesome 10********** post TRICIA FANTASTIC SHARE just brill

  • Billy was closest to the "American" rock & roll sound that England had (beside Tony Crombie). His 'Sound of Fury' LP from 1960 is now available on CD. Buy it, you will NOT be disappointed.

  • BILLY FURY R.I.P

  • Wonderful singer!! Sadly, I have never heard of him before. I understand why the UK loved him so much. Wish he would have made it over here in the USA as well. He would have rocked our world like Elvis did!!

  • a fitting tribute to a legend

  • I saw Billy performing live 3 times when I was a teenager, he was my idol, and when I close my eyes I can see him now, wearing blue jeans and seated on a stool as he sang. It's not often appreciated that he wrote many of his own songs as well as having a wonderful voice.

  • i play Billys music every day and have done for 46 years i hope his music will live forever great vid thanxs for posting

  • thankfully recorded music is a wonderful thing:

it's like he's never been gone!

  • I've got a VHS tape of him singing "Devil or Angel" taped from a programme on Channel 4 called Unforgettable. He looked painfully thin but still gave great performance. Don't know how to upload though!

  • I would have liked to have tried to help you to do this, but sadly I don't live in the UK anymore so I don't know what I can do to help?
