  • I saw this movie in the early seventies with my dad when I was a kid in Lima, Peru. He knew I was going to like it and I really did. Great movie.

VERY good! i loved it! it was well done ... it was filmed so good and i loved the characters...i worried for them all. thank you pbs and i never saw burt act before ..now i can see why people liked him but i really loved the supporting cast more actually .... the french and all.. no cgi! for a change...loved the movie.. sorry for rambling badly...

  • @VNVgirl The old, obese engineer was an especially good actor / character. Lancaster reminds me too much of the terrible Heston, just a lot less wooden. Respect to him for doing his own stunt though. His repeated jumping on and off the various trains was impressive.

  • Pure BRILLIANCE! Astonishing! John Frankenheimer was a Genius and a Great Artist!

  • what a great cast in a true story. Go Burt! Go Paul! John Frankenheimer at his best!
