  • Bloomington may not be all that great, but it's a hell of a lot better than Decatur.

  • I live in bloomington right now and it is the biggest shit hole EVER! I have never encountered a bigger bunch of ass holes who have no clue how to drive before in my life. FUCK BLOOMINGTON NORMAL!

  • @yamahaguy05 i live there to and i agree although the gamestop is amazing!

  • i am 18 years old and i live in bloomington normal ill i have lived here all my life i was born here!

i love it because my family lived here but im ready to move on to somewhere diff.

it's a great place to live many nice people also there are plenty of diff. races here so that makes it nice to see so many types of family, but the thing i do HATE is there are tooo many pot holes lol

  • cant wait to go back home japan sucks lol

  • ive lived here most of my life...jus sad to think one day this gonna be a big city nd nobody will see what it use to be..one thing forsure tho this is my home n always will be nd ill always remember it like this

  • @Tnig16 Lol I don't think Bloomington will ever be a big city.

  • Nice pics. I live here. The paintings of the Stevenson's are gone. They redid that bldg. Where is the painting on that bldg of the man with the yellow background & lots of writing? I've lived here 20 years & drive around a lot, but I've never seen that one. lol Seasonal variety would be cool. Like the snow piled up super high & cars getting stuck in town a week ago from the snow. I almost got stuck going up that hill by the Pantagraph-it was bad. The park in summer is nice. I'll try to do it.

  • i live here lol its nice but boring not much to do here any more

  • lived here for 6 years now... great place.

  • @jlassh sort of, its still my home, butt im in the military, so im never home

  • @MHfreak1991 yeah, making me feel melencholy, great mixed video, blowing my mind seeing i haven't been back there in like 5-6 years.

  • Looks like downtown Bloomington was one of those Midwestern cities that experimented with urban renewal that ended up with a bunch of holes that turned into parking lots.

  • I was born in Bloomington, IL and now live in a sorry as town called Lincoln, NE. Bloomington's downtown almost looks the same as Lincoln's and Lincoln is a lot bigger.

  • Wow, these are great, and the soundtrack's perfect. I spent my childhood in Bloomington and moved away in '74....but all of these buildings were there 35 years ago, obviously---I've taken shots of many of these same venerable old structures on trips home. The melancholy tunes underscore the urban decay and images of a downtown barely hanging on. Beautiful job!!!

  • @joefax530 thankyou, sorry it took so long to see all these comments

  • "buildings were there 35 years ago" lol There are only a couple things that have changed in all that time--there are way too many people here & way too many new buildings & housing areas now. A lot more crime from the ghetto closing in Chicago & lots of them moved here, thanks to Judy Markowitz putting up a billboard saying, "Come to Bloomington, it's better here." Not now because of that. One very good thing--the train (can't play on it now) has added a cool caboose. You can tour it sometimes.

  • Damn, That brought back memories I grew up in B Town! I miss it too. But Family still posted up there some of you all might know me from my aunts mexican stores La Chiquita she also Owned Nuevo Chimis of of Prospect Back in the early 90's Boy I had some good times!
