This guy is mildly putting the issue. The media has done a disservice to children and families by using a smear campaign against fathers and the problem of deadbeat dads is overblown. Where are the complete stats on the issue? It should be called mommy support (in TX, the courts favor the mother) because they get to spend it however they want to, It very frequently isn't the child. Every situation is different and not all mothers deserve 20-50% of the dad's income. It is a disgrace.

I was told by child support that even if custody was 50/50 i would still have to pay i mean they said and did what ever they could to sway me from the idea of custody. And guss what? out of the 511 $ i pay permonth my kids get 50 $ permonth so you do the math where the fuck is the rest of my money going!

My ex wife wasn't supposed to leave Hamilton...she did...matter of fact..she left the state. What did the courts do..NOT A THING..except take my child support payments. My son will turn 20 next April...I haven't seen him since he was 3. I have so many friends who quit paying support because their ex wives denied them visitation. Women automatically get custody of children..and thats not fair either. My ex when we split..didn't have a home, job, or a drivers license..yet she got custody.

Keep posting those deadbeats pictures on the pizza boxes! The audacity of that man to say it's not healthy for the kids to see that. It's not healthy for the child to have to struggle through life because he/she has one parent supporting him/her either! Basic life necessities cost money and BOTH parents need to be responsible! Get a vasectomy if you don't want the chance of paying child support! Nothing is ever set in stone when it comes to relationships!

There are vindictive ex husbands and deadbeat women too! I don't discriminate. My ex owes me over 60 thousand dollars in back support because he decided he could just walk away from our children. I spent alot more money over the years to provide for their needs then what he owes. I also gave them things they wanted and then some. He couldn't give them the time of day. I have the memories and love he will never know which is priceless. I say post all their faces! Children are the victims!

You claim children are victime...thats true..but so are a lot of fathers. The courts claim they do whats in the best interest of the children...well I think a relationship with their father is in their best interest. I am not your ex husband..I paid my child support...I had court ordered visitation....the courts wouldn't enforce it. If I didn't pay my support I would go to jail...yet they don't put women in jail who fail to honor visitation. They won't do anything.

I don't disagree with you, I have seen the injustices on both sides and the courts make a bad situation worse. Parental Alienation Syndrome is very serious and the courts should start paying more attention to it and place the child with the parent who will encourage a relationship with the other parent. When your ex refuses visitation,call the police and demand a report be written. After you have several reports take her back to court. It's the only suggestion I have other then to hire a lawyer.

been there done that...got absolutely nowhere with Leslie Spillane and her all female team. They are only interested in collectin child support...everything else is meaningless. I don't disagree with putting the faces on the pizza boxes...I just wish people would stop generalizing all men. I often wonder how many men stop paying support because they are denied visitation and the courts won't help. Maybe if the court stepped up and made it fair all the way around...less men would be deadbeats

I totally agree. I am sorry you are being denied your time with your children. The laws regarding child support and visitation were purposely made so one didn't have to do with the other. In other words, if the non custodial parent wasn't paying support, the custodial parent could NOT stop visitation and vise versa. This was supposed to help alleviate the issue of one parent denying the other parent visitation but unfortunately along with many other issues the courts do an injustice.

I am with Karen Willis on her decison. We order pizza from her place a lot and she's helping turn in those bad parents who don't pay child support. In fact, I think I'll print out pictures of deadbeat parents (both dads and moms) and post them at the Wal-Mart where I work.

CHILD SUPPORT CAUSES CORRUPTION ON BOTH ENDS. it causes people to hide earnings, it turns good people into bad people by "trying to win the game" and the children pay for the whole thing in the long run. PEOPLE WILL NOT CHANGE THEREFORE THE SYSTEM NEEDS TO CHANGE.
