I only ever got to fly on a 707 once. From Chicago to Dallas. 3 hours I think it was. The noise was unreal. My head was ringing for hours after we landed. Cant imagine what flying london to Sydney would have been like. Sheer bloody hell I imagine.
BOAC707FUJI ~ I worked in commercial aviation (JAL) for many years (@ LAX), beginning in 1971. What were the circumstances that took down G-APFE? I'm quite curious.
Great video..As I have most of what is left of the BOAC 707-436's in my collection it's always nice to see them in action! At the 2:47 mark you can see if you look quickly the letters "FE" at the top of the nose gear. This is of course G-APFE which crashed at MT. Fuji in March, 1966.
In my collection I have a fuselage section from G-APFO, a overwing exit from G-APFF, and the wingtip from G-APFB, to mention just a few of the items I have from the BOAC 707 fleet. Anyway, great stuff.
you must had a seat on the wing .

Why do I get the feeling that British pilots might have even slept with their jackets on?

これ富士山上空で空中分解した機体?
16mmフィルムだから機体記号がボケてて判別しにくい
G-APFEに見えなくも無いが・・・
