101 Dislikes on this & Mr. John Lee Hooker - THAT'S 101 COMPLETE IDIOTS WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT TALENT OR THE ROOTS OF REAL MUSIC .... THE BLUES BABY #1
...Wait, this is John Lee Hooker?? Oh shit, I seriously thought this was B.B. King's song. Well that proves how much I know about blues hahahaha but no matter. I still love this song :D
@NASCARGUY51139 Much of the music from the past has been redone like this one. Ted Nugent's "Baby Please don't go" is another example of an old blues tune and tons of others likewise.
This is just rather a slack miming and play acting front to a pre-recorded studio track and doesn't deserve the viewing numbers. Search out the genuine live performances. Good music though.
The music is good, but I have always felt that most of the videos out there are quite lame, and this one is no exception. All the goofy footage, most of it totally irrelevant to the music, is just distracting. A live, unedited video of J.L.H. playing the song would have been far superior.
When you get a minute check out my Video channel called:
"Kato's Music Room" @ vodpod dot com/katosmusicroom
There are a LOT of inspirational messages from Bishop T.D Jakes, Bishop Noel Jones, Dr. Jamal Bryant, as well as complete episodes of my favorite TV shows like "TV One's Unsung", "I hate Chris" etc....You'll also find videos of my favorite music artist's like Marvin Gaye, Enchantment, Al Green & Gospel Music !
@joshuaw33 well i like this version but its a lot different and funny cause it seems like he left a lot of words out, thats why i called it the lazy version. teehee
@kickinbackinmychair yeah, this version ain't too great. John Lee's "original" version, kicks butt. It's no wonder that a blues-rocker like Thorogood, wanted to do a cover.
Great Song. As for you 95 hore's,.........this song is obviously about you bitches,.......and I still don't miss none of you ,.....still tho'......holla at me when you want's see Big Daddy.
How in the fuck, can anyone dislike John Lee Hooker??? (why did you even come onto the tune in the first place??) you cunting morons...from myself and JLH FUCK RIGHT OFF! (but peas inbetween)

The original song was written by Rudy Toombs and recorded by Amos Milburn in 1953. scroll down a bit the video is on the right. I remember the John Lee Hooker version well before the George version. Each made it their own.
