wel, dear haters, i did mention that i was going up a very steep incline atm, this video is now old, since the setup has chnaged in the car, the old Twincam16v setup has been removed, now nestled in the engine bay is a BT20v 4AGE with full aftermarket management, revs up like a biatch n sounds way meaner....next is line is a 75shot of NOS :)

yeah but toyota does it right by using a system mounted OUTSIDE the head, which is basically just a valve system that funnels air into the chamber @ higher velocity during lower rpms, then opens up completely past 5000. vtec is more complicated, and causes much more work for the head. more can be done with the 4age considering what it would cost to make the honda engine capable to last as long under high load applications. also honda engines such as the d and b series dont have iron blocks.
the 4ag is alright but theres plenty of honda engines i'd rather have due to their performance and longevitiy compared to my bluetop. although for the time i'd say the 4ag was at the top of it's class.
T-VIS is nothing like vtec..vtec alters the lift and duration of the cam lobes while T-VIS simply lets more air in the engine, the intake manifold has 8 runners (2 per cylinder) and under a certain amount of RPMs, 4 of them are closed with butterflies, letting the air go into the engine with higher velocity and thus creating more torque, and above a certain point, the 4 butterflies open up letting the engine breathe better in higher rpms..it's totally different..
someone tell me why 20 valves is preferable to 16 for a 4cyl? isnt 2 intake and 2 exhaust enough?

redtop 4age produced max hp @ 6300 rpm, because it's a high rev engine,(like all 4age s) so he isn't losing any power actually

AE111 can have a 1000rpm idle and rev to 10000rpm but vvt would kik in at 4000rpm at the powerband

k, so i do knw that i was slow at changing...but this is because i was not racing anybody, was just messing around...
The dbl clutching is done due to snychros..on the way out...
Im upgrading to a new BT20v with aftermarket managemant...will keep everyone posted, evn the haters, watch out for more 4AGE clips;)
