  • Great reviews with cool music!

  • Thanks for the heads up.

  • Sorry to be nosey but aren't you in east Tennessee? I ask cause I'm in Rogersville and I was thinking I heard you say you were near here in a video somewhere. I was just curious.

  • We're in the northern middle part of the state, about eighty miles Northwest of Nashville.

  • My LCP is my constant companion - no matter what. About a year ago I was carrying the little firearm in my front pocket while struck by a car on my motorcycle. I did sustain an LCP sized bruise on my thigh from the little weapon but noticed no ill effects on my carry ammo (though I did carefully clean and inspect my weapon upon returning from the hospital). I am unhurt and thankful that Ruger did effectively fix this problem.

  • LOL! "Drop it off a tower". So dn't take your LCP to the Sears tower? LOL I like your homestead set up. That your house?

  • That's my "shootin' shack", located at Gunblast World Headquarters. My house is a few yards away.

  • @Gunblastdotcom World headquarters. Is there a team of scientists, builders and testers there working to help mankind. If costs go up will you move to India? LOL

  • Thank you.

    DANG NER BOUGHT ONE !

    got a beretta 40 ca.

  • Great video! Keep up the great work. I always look for your tests before I purchase a gun. Thanks.

  • Sorry Jeff, I don't know how I missed your explanation in the video. I visit your site, value your reviews and subscribe to your YouTube channel. I thought this seem out out character. Maybe I was to focused on the dropping of the weapon. Again excuse me sir.

  • Not a problem, sir!

  • I understand wanting to test drop the gun but you could have did it behind a barrier of some sort so as to minimize the chance that you be hit in case it does go off. Dropping a weapon with known problems at your feet with out the benefit of a barrier seems unsafe to me.

  • If you read the review, you will notice that the weapon had an empty cartridge case with only a primer, no powder or bullet. I also mention this in the video.

    Jeff

  • Jeff.Did you send them in or throw them away after dropping the LCPs?If I dropped my LCP(or any handgun) on the floor that high I would worry about it breaking .Maybe I baby my guns too much or they are sturdier than I think lol

  • Still carrying it, and shooting it. No ill effects whatsoever.

  • helpful videos like this are few and far between on the net, thanks for taking the time to put these vids together for everyone!!

  • Jeff, I really appreciate your videos. You give more useful information in 2 minutes than a lot of other folks do in a 5 minute vid. I have one of these Lcp's, but have only found one box of fmj rounds in nearly 8 months. So, I've only been to the range once. Haven't got my ccw here in Mich yet, but it'll be in my pocket for sure after. Keep up the good work sir.

  • Intentionally dropping any gun is Stupid with a capital F. Not smart.

  • It's called a TEST. Do you know a better way?

  • LOL, if he comes up with one have him make a video and show us! Great vids and great work, Jeff! Hey, I'm a woman living in Tampa, FL with a CCW and have thought about getting one of these pocket .380s to carry when I jog and walk my dog, etc. Of all three (Taurus, Ruger, Kel-Tec) which would you recommend over the rest? I generally carry my Glock 21 .45 but it's a little hard to hide in jogging shorts. Your advice would be appreciated, Sir.

  • All three are good, but I have a Ruger LCP in my pocket.

    Jeff

  • Thanks for your advice, Jeff, you've been very helpful. :-)

  • *gasp* i had you pegged as a P32 man

  • Why is it stupid? It was a primed case with NO bullet. That means the piece of lead that comes out the end of the barrel wasn't in the bullet. Very informative video if you understand how a gun operates.

  • it was a primer-only case.

  • Well thankfully we have a stupid person out there running these tests verifying fixes so I dont have to worry about my balls getting blown off if i drop it.

  • didn't you listen to the dude tell you that theres a blank in the chamber and not a live round?

  • I got one last week and have never owed a DAO pistol - is it bad to dry fire these? I noticed it doenst have any de-cocking mechanism? Thanks bud.

  • Dry fire will do no harm.

    Jeff

  • Hey, my lcp has the prefix 371. do I need to send it in. I love this gun. I take it everywhere. When its cold out and I have a jacket I carry G19 otherwise this little buger is in my pocket. Hope it dont go off. FYI it shoots GREAT!

  • Only 370 prefix pistol are under recall, yours is fine.

  • Thats a wicked beard brother.LOL ...subbed ya

  • there goes the resale value

  • I had some major problems with my LCP today. It appears the slight downwards pressure caused by holding it tightly with the new finger extension floor plate was causing the magazine to eject as it fired. It's as if the jar of firing coupled with the slight downward pressure causes the magazine notch to slip past the internal release tab. I'm going back to the original magazine design, even though my accuracy is not as good with it. I made sure I was not accidentally pressing the release tab.

  • Thanks for the vid. I was wondering how & when you submitted your request for the recall service, and when did you get your package to send the pistol in for that? Also, how long did it take? Thanks. R.

  • Very nice video professionally done...I am going to check my LCP to see if I need to send my gun in

    Thank you

  • Well thats a pretty cute little gun but not somethin I'd like to have.

But I also wanted to let you know I just got my FNP-45 today, you might remember me asking about if it would be a good idea to trade my GLK-21 for one on your vid about the FNP-45.

  • Hey nbenicewicz - This cute little gun is a .380 (that's only about 16% smaller than a .45 is diameter), in a very small package. Sure, it doesn't have the power of a .45 or the capacity, but this .380 is a nice small lightweight gun for a practical purpose carry concealed pistol (for legally licensed people of course). That's basically what this pistol was designed for I believe.
