  • Isn't this redundant? The AD60VTX already has the tonelab's modelling built in on the front end. Or do they sound different? I'm sure the floorboard for the AD60 would have cost less than the Tonelab ST.

  • @fwerfwater They were only used at the same time for the purposes of this video. I used the AD60VTX's power section because it happened to be in my living room. If one of my other amps was sitting there at the time I would have used it instead. However, with that being said... about half of the models and effects in the ST are different than what came on the AD60VTX (they are about 4 years apart after all). So yes they do sound different.

  • Nice jamming, man. I have a PRS CU24 2010 LTD in vintage burst. (#94/200)Suhweeet axe!

  • @guitarsan Thanks! I am quite a fan of PRS guitars as it sounds like you are as well!

  • GC tiger smokeburst custom 24? I want one of those!

  • @artistwillet This a red tiger (private stock color) -- GC buyer selected the tops on this run 2009. Great PUP's and has my favorite neck wood indian rosewood.

  • great sound! i am expecting my cu 24 ltd Today!! according to ups! i can't wait, it's like christmas day! I am going to play it through a Mesa Express 5:50.

  • @Budafinga

How is your CU24 LTD? I like the Express series. I have a Mesa Subway Rocket which is an ancestor of the Express.

  • @Robotechnology the guitar is amazing! well you know you have one. i never owned a PRS and now i know why people love them. simply the best made guitar money can buy imo.

the express.. the jury is still out on that. like any Mesa you have to tweak the knobs till you get something you like. i'll post a vid this weekend so you can see it

  • @Robotechnology made a short demo for you to hear, i'll post as soon as it's done

  • If you haven't already can you please post a usb direct in recording?

  • @diablo9333

I don't know if I'd be able to do one before you hear someone else do one. My computer recording rig is down.

  • @Robotechnology Well other people have done one but the ones I posted have terrible quality because of the persons pickups. The video I saw used cheap epiphone pickups from I believe the 200 dollar range.

  • I already have a 24 with 59;s in them, so I know how good they are...but wow I'm blown away by your amp configuration. I'm presently running through a Pod XT live and Tech21 PE, but your tone just blows that away. And great playing by the way.

  • @dhb162 Thanks for the compliments. I previously had an XT Live and never really bonded with it. Effects are better in the Line 6 but, the basic preamp models in the Vox are much more to my liking. Try getting your hands on a used AD60VTX. They are around. The power amp colors a little bit, but in a good way (sort of like a tube amp). The speaker happens to be great as well.

  • the 59/09s sound fantastic, i love the neck pickup especially. Nice clip, it's the best 59/09s clip i've seen :D

  • @Moltisanti The 59/09's are the best pickups PRS has made! The clarity is outstanding and it has just the right amount of oomph for all styles.

  • Nice! What amp do u use?

  • Its says it in the title a vox valvetronix ad60vtx

  • This was actually the Vox ToneLab ST (unit on the floor just behind me). I am only using the power amp and speaker of the Vox combo in the background.

  • Great tone and playing.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Robotech-

I needed to hear this. Good demo. Good overall sound, too.

  • Thank you!

  • awesome:) looks like my prs too!
