remember my m8 gettin this tape off his girlfriend at the time for his birthday. We were all propar mad on James anyway with Come Home and How was it for you etc, we were dancin round the room like lunatics until this tune came on...we all sat down and shut the fuck up for a moment just listening!..... That moment will be with me forever....!!!

bloody love James, and i love how into them you are.. :) one of the greatest bands ever in my opinion and i think it's a good thing they never became huge, because although they have a small fanbase, it's a loyal one. great track.. :)

I just cannot get enough off this track at the moment. Reminds me of home. Up North.  The 'hovis' style trumpet at the beginning is stunning. (Though my 6yr old thinks it sounds like a funeral song?)

i would love to hear this live.

i have most of the James albums...ive loved them since i was about four and my dad listened to them all the time.

They are just the best band in the whole world. Tim Booth is my hero :)

I think this would be great live, as the end reminds me of 'Sound' which is hypnotic played live. i think this would have the same effect.

I remember buying this album on tape when it first came out. It was bought on the strength of tracks like Come Home and How Was It For You, but I just fell totally in love with this track and Walking The Ghost they hold so many great memories for me...beautiful!!

Sit Down is a great track, and a commercial no brainer in terms of inclusion on the second release of Gold Mother, but this astonishing song should never have been replaced. I have loved it for many years, and it is great to hear it hear too. I would love to hear it live in December, though I think it is very unlikely...
