@LuckySmash9 That's my exact same feeling. It was ON from 0:00. The beat is single best thing about this song. It sounds like some Samba remix of "the original Stage 1 theme", except it IS the original Stage 1 theme. I see so much remixing potential in this song.

God damn, this would have been a great last stage theme that connects directly to the final boss's theme, a repeat of UFO's Emotional Skyscraper+Fires of Hokkai.

@JapanForSale Now that you mention it, I do see a resemblance to Fires of Hokkai. Not in melody, but the way they both start simple to build up into something incredible.

Night Sakura of Dead Spirits starts out very melancholy though, leading into something cheerful. While Fires of Hokkai builds into something mystic and driving...

So I wouldn't say it'd be to fit for the final stage, but I see how they're similar structured anyway

I feel that, while ZUN's themes are still wonderful melodies... they're more limited in the instruments they use in the most recent games.

In IN, there was some electric guitar in Marisa and Reisen's themes; Reimu's theme in IN has an eerie sound before it kicks to the main theme; Stage theme 5 of PCB uses bells.

It would just be nice to see a few breaks in pace here and there~

@xxYakumoYukarixx I do agree with you there. Ten Desires GST seems to have a heavy emphasis on the beat of the tracks.

Though I feel there's a seemingly, "retro", quality. The increased use of more digital sounding tracks (Saw waves seem to be used more) seems to be the big overlying theme here.

Perhaps 10D will follow the same pattern as IN? The early stages had less, interesting music (Except for one or two tracks), and then the latter half of the game just kicked off better music

Oh I love this theme. It gives me a sense of a huge battle is about to innitiate while you and your opponent exchange a few words about why you fight and for what.

I wonder if using an audio editor like Audacity one can get a "spirit world" version of other songs like the UFO ones.... after all, the spirit world version focuses on secondary instruments and beats rather than the main theme

It is said in the touhou wiki that if you combine both the normal & spirit world versions of the themes, you get the true theme itself. Hope you guys try it.
