Thank you for posting this. I had no idea she had such a pretty voice. I met her at her home in August 1968 when I was a child. My grandmother and her were 1st cousins through their Lanza fathers.
So Mario inherited some of his talent from his mom as she did have a voice. Her speaking voice was somewhat lower then you would think from this old recording. I heard her recording of only one aria she played for me one day in her living room, many years ago, maybe 43 years ago so I don't remember really what it was but she sounded pretty good on that one but as I said before her dad did not want her to go into singing, as she told me and that I remember quite well.
What a surprise to hear his Mother sing. thank you, enjoyable.
