dumb question, but what does it mean when you put the lyrics in brackets? like

Twinkle, Light running (through)

and

Make it a power to link (us) more

I always see these on translations, just want to know why :)

The brackets are there to help us understand (did i use the right word there?) the lyrics better. (ie. the japanese translation may or may not have the bracketed words in its lyrics and may just seem like a fragment of a sentence if read) or it is also there to show us what is implied passively (ie. expects us to know running through as in running through the sky) Hope this helps im not so sure myself.
