1. They accidently made a movie that incorporates literally EVERYTHING ExclusiveCheese looks for in a movie (good acting, humor, catchy music, and 100x more).

2. They wanted to encourage all kids who see the movie to commit murder.

@ExclusiveCheese Dude, their preview audience didn't like the film. Yes they could have released the other ending to the film anyway but then it probably wouldn't have made it very far at all. In truth I think it's better they made the ending that the film has now, because it sort of... creates an appreciation and more artistic side to the original ending that the true fans can find and enjoy for themselves.

That might be the stage III Audrey II (the 'Feed Me' size) repurposed with an articulated neck. There's no way it's the Mean Green Mother puppet -- it was so large and cumbersome that they had to shoot the later scenes with the plant at 12 frames per second so it wouldn't look so jerky.
