If this were true, why are test scores and GPA averages higher? Greater diversity has been achieved via increased recruitment. Applications have increased from 10K to over 14 thousand. All incoming plebes have to take or test out of Calculus, Chemistry and English. Testing out does not mean that they have not taken and passed the AP test with a 5 but have shown mastery of the subject in a validation test administered by the USNA.
