I'm not convinced that she had it "in" for him but no one really knows what her true feelings for him were. Depending on the state, a parole hearing after the first denial can occur between ever 1 or 5 years. The max he can serve is 33 years, rendering him 94 when he is released. It is probably safe to bet he will be in prison for at least 10 years from the date of sentencing.
Sorry, I didnt answer your second question. There is no news regarding his appeal. It is widely assumed that the appeal will fail and all his options for a new trial will be exhausted. Most appeals fail unless there is PROVEN cause such as jury tamporing, judicial bias, new evidence, etc.
I respect Judge Jackie Glass. She's a woman of integrity and class and did an outstanding job as a professional. And, my sympathy goes out to Mr. Goldman and Nicole's family because O.J. Should have gotten the death sentence in the first trial. I always said he was guilty of murder and I still believe that today. I am at least glad that some justice was done here!

Not being American the thing that strikes me most about this is the way the judge is so sure of knowing what was going through OJ's and others heads. What is she omniscient as well? The audio tapes came from his posse members who took plea deals and are now felons but on probation. Two posse members had the guns not OJ. The ring leader an ex-felon Riccio sold his tape to TMZ. Riccio testified and was never charged. He has since written a book.
I think Riccio wanted to sell his tape and write a book which he did. TMZ bought it for $250,000. Maybe the other one did it for protection. Also, Riccio set this up and lured O.J. into it. Riccio could have been hired by someone to set this up. However, he and Oj did contact the police and FBI to get assistance with getting the property back.

A Judge earns the right to give commentary when elected or appointed to the bench. The Goldmans have a right to be present in any public court in the country just like any other citizen. Care to make any more stupid comments?

@agrotis79 They were given similar sentences and will go up fo parole at the same time, more or less. Neither, in my opinion, will get paroled at their first parole hearing four years from now.

I'm not convinced that she had it "in" for him but no one really knows what her true feelings for him were. Depending on the state, a parole hearing after the first denial can occur between ever 1 or 5 years. The max he can serve is 33 years, rendering him 94 when he is released. It is probably safe to bet he will be in prison for at least 10 years from the date of sentencing.

Sorry, I didnt answer your second question. There is no news regarding his appeal. It is widely assumed that the appeal will fail and all his options for a new trial will be exhausted. Most appeals fail unless there is PROVEN cause such as jury tamporing, judicial bias, new evidence, etc.

I respect Judge Jackie Glass. She's a woman of integrity and class and did an outstanding job as a professional. And, my sympathy goes out to Mr. Goldman and Nicole's family because O.J. Should have gotten the death sentence in the first trial. I always said he was guilty of murder and I still believe that today. I am at least glad that some justice was done here!

Not being American the thing that strikes me most about this is the way the judge is so sure of knowing what was going through OJ's and others heads. What is she omniscient as well? This is something I've been the recipient of from an American woman also, and its quite distasteful. They invent these part-reality, part-fantasy (at best) myths and roll with them like its written on stone tablets next to the Ten Commandments. How the hell do they know what people were thinking or why they did it?

Ok I didn't know that so many key stages of this had been taped. But I guess in Vegas I should have guessed. That does throw a different light on the judge's comments. Still, what you feel isn't what you know, but it should be listened to as it can get you out of a lot of trouble. Ignore feelings and I think you ignore your self-guarding system, but I wouldn't want to rely on them in a court too much.

I believe that Simpson was set up by the man who orchestrated this so called "sting operation" in the attempt to rerieve property that allegedly belonged to him. However, it would seem that he knew about it and went along with it which resulted in his arrest, trial, and convicted.
Like his co-defendants, he should have pled to a lesser charge on the advice his attorney(s) and may have gotten a oleser sentnce. . Like Judge Glass said, it was his arrogance and ignorance that did him in.

I completely agree with you. Judge Glass said at sentencing that laws of the state of Nevada say you cannot retrieve your own property or that of someone else by force. He didn't report it to the police becase he didn't what those items to fall into the hands of the Goldman family whom he referred to as "The Golddiggers."
As Judge Glass had said, it was "arrogance and ignorance" that got the better of him. Would you agree with that?

The audio tapes came from his posse members who took plea deals and are now felons but on probation. Two posse members had the guns not OJ. The ring leader an ex-felon Riccio sold his tape to TMZ. Riccio testified and was never charged. He has since written a book.

I think Riccio wanted to sell his tape and write a book which he did. TMZ bought it for $250,000. Maybe the other one did it for protection. Also, Riccio set this up and lured O.J. into it. Riccio could have been hired by someone to set this up. However, he and Oj did contact the police and FBI to get assistance with getting the property back.

Judge Jackie Glass keeps on repeating she's not there to payback for retribution on what happened 13 yrs ago...that to me is admission of guilt right there.
If you watch the tape, you'll notice she slips up quite a few times. She says "although a lot of people disagreed with your '93 verdict"....why say that??? She is obviously showing emotion over what she thought was a miscarriage of justice.
Although OJ deserved life in prison for slaughtering Ron & Nicole, he didn't deserve this.
