  • You know, you really don't look bad. I've seen much worse with younger people who lost less wieght. Thank you for sharing and congrats!

  • BE PROUD TO SHOW OFF YOUR NEW BODY, NO ITS NOT PERFECT, BUT ONLY FAKE PEOPLE ARE PERFECT, YOUR A ""SURVIVOR"" OF A DISEASE THAT KILLS MANY PEOPLE.. KEEP UP THE HEALTHY EATING.....<3

  • Thanks for your honesty, it really does show courage..... but it worked in the way you meant for it: to inform future patients and family helping patients.... I'm very scared to do the surgery, which is schedules 3 weeks form today but I know I need it... would you mind if I ask your previous weight and age? I know elasticity decreases with age... you can message it to me if you'd rather. Even if you dont want to, I appreciate your post. Thanks

  • Thank you so much for sharing this! First, you look amazing! Congratulations. Second, it is so helpful to know what to expect. I appreciate you being so open.

  • It is not that bad and guess what? You get a longer life, God willing :) Great work!!

  • thankyou very much for posting thisツ very informative!

  • Thanks for sharing that. I am 290 and having knee problems. I know I will not lose my weight without gastric bypass. Considering strongly.

  • You look AMAZING! I was afraid that I'd have so much extra skin so I started looking at other videos and I would be TOTALLY fine if mine ends up like your! Great job

  • I am just starting my WLS journey. Thank you so much for your video! You are brave, strong and beautiful.

  • Very informative video. I'm having Lap. Gastric Bypass on Monday, and I've been wondering about excess skin. I think you look wonderful. And your excess skin is not that bad sweety. I think you're beautiful. Keep up the good work, and I wish you much more success. Again thank you so much for this informative video.

  • Hi I am in the same boat, had surgery and lost 80kg and have loose skin. I will consider surgery to fix it once I am my goal weight. fyi the surgery is NOT a cheat otherwise everybody would succed with it. You still need to eat healthy and exercise, it is simply an aid. I go to the gym 6-7 days a week with two weights sessions and count calories and it didn't stop the loose skin.

  • You are BEAUTIFUL for one. But I have a question for you.....do you weight train?

  • How high can you fly?

  • Get plastic surgery...skin removal is a cinch for surgeons and it's not frivolous at all

  • You look amazing and your beautiful. Keep up the great work! It's only skin don't worry too much about it, you are on the path to be healthy that's all that matters. Aloha

  • Thank you for sharing this video, my gastric bypass surgerydate is Tuesday the 13th. My current weight is 380lbs, I'm really excited and can't wait to have it done.

  • Did you exercise at all during your weight loss? As far as I know if you did you wouldn't have this much loose skin. Yes there might be some but not this bad.

  • congratulations on your weight loss! i also have the bat wings as i call them; my worst area is my tummy. i've noticed that my skin has gotten tighter since i first lost weight. Try to be patient and keep working out--hopefully in time your skin will shrink more. Congrats again!

  • you look awesome! congratulations! the excess skin can be taken care of with either surgery or excersize or a combination of both....in any case you've gotten your life back and you look very sexy!

  • @Mattyuk1 very uneducated comment but you're excused :)

  • @vkhele Uneducated? Slow weight lost? I think you'll find mine and others comments are right. I was fat and did it the hard way! I was left with skin around my abs because I did it far too quick.

  • @Mattyuk1 very ignorant. When you weigh over 300 pounds, there is no pass cheat. Getting the weight off is a matter of health and not just beauty. If you had a headache, would you think taking an aspirin is pass cheat?Losing weight in the gym over time does also produce excess skin for ppl who are genuinely heavy. Finally, ppl don't just have surgery, they also change the way they eat and increase their exercise on the regular.

  • first of all congrats !!!! i do hope and pray that health insurance company some day change they're policy about this kind of problem ( loose skin after weight loss ).i just drop 100 pounds i don't have any problem with my arms or belly at all. my problems are my legs people said that there are a little loose skin but to me it's so embarrasing i don't wear shorts or minis because of the loose skin.

  • @xknlion66 Thank you! I too have that loose skin on my legs. I wont wear anything too high above the knee. If only insurance could see the need. It really is the end to the entire process. For me, it's made me feel like I've come full circle and I'm actually not that big person any more. With the skin, it somehow reminds you constantly and for me I still felt big. Congrats on losing 100lbs that's awesome!!

  • when just looking at you you don't notice the skin unless you point it out. You look great!

  • 'My surgery is 4/11/11'?

How r u now, I will par to ALLAH to safe u

  • You look amazing! Congratulations on your journey and success!

  • @tjeansync Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching and commenting :)

  • I'm curious I'm about 250 pounds, 5"4', and I'm 18 years old. I know you have to loose 50 pounds before you get this surgery I was wondering how bad do you think I will have excess skin?

  • @FREEKALEEK101 Everyone is different on the skin issue. Some ppl have good elasticity and they may have only in certain areas. I think the younger you are the less of an issue it will be. Don't quote me on that but that's what I've heard. Also, if you workout lifting weights while you're loosing weight, that will help with toning also. It's really hard to say how it will turn out. But, with that said, the excess skin is much easier to live with than all the extra weight!

  • @FREEKALEEK101 Every body skin it's different from each other maybe working out your muscles and eating right will solve your problem. To me protein and muscles built up it's the key that's my opinion. Good luck and God bless.

  • @xknlion66 totally agree, that is what I am doing now am still scared of loose skin but feel more positive tis time round then ever before about loosing weight. Strength training and high protein diet will elp alot. drinking lots of water and moisterising also helps.

  • Hello, I am getting ready to have gastric bypass in 20 days. My weight now is 354libs. I was wondering if you had the option to do the surgery again would u? also to you is the exsess skin worth it to you? I am really worried about it in my arms and legs. Like you said the belly you can hide it. I just wanted to know what you thought!

  • @deepblueyes28 Congratulations on your surgery date! I would absolutely do it again even with the loose skin! Everyone is different on how their loose skin turns out but the quality of life I have now outweighs any skin issues. I did end up having plastic surgery on my arms and tummy but even without it I would still do it again. I have video's on the plastic surgery also if you're interested. Congrats again and quick healing to you!!

  • @vkhele Thank you so much for replying. My surgery is 4/11/11. Im about 12 days away!!!!

  • @deepblueyes28 Just wanted to stop by and wish you luck on your upcoming surgery!!!

  • @vkhele Thank you! I am now 2 days away!!!

  • how much did you lose?

  • @flunkpuddi When I made this video I weighed 160. Started at 315.

  • My weight loss is slow, I like it that way, the skin don't hang as much. You look good.

  • My weight loss is slow, I like it that way, the skin don't hang as much. You look good.

  • Thank you!!!! I am scheduled for surgery the last week of May. I have been so afraid of what I am going to look like after the weight loss. My weight is 312 & I am 5"5" & I thought the skin on my stomach would be down to my knees. You look great. I hope I look 1/2 as good as you. Congratulations to you. I hope you are enjoying your new lifestyle.

  • @terri5462 Congratulations on getting ur surgery date! I was almost at the same point u r when I started. I really didn't think my stomach was too bad after the weight loss. Best of luck to u!!

  • I think you look amazing :) congrats on the weight loss

  • @rinafonua Aloha! It's nice to have a fellow local on here!! Welcome! Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! Please let me know if you have any questions!! this has been the best decision I've ever made! It's changed my life in more than ways than I can say!!!

  • i dont think exersise would have helped, not many people understand that, im 5 weeks post op...i hope i dont have too bad of loose skin..but your pretty, and i know its hard, but you did it, and im proud for you

  • @garrettmaria74 You're right about the skin. It's almost inevitable when you lose so much weight so fast. It's the price we pay but it's all worth it! Thanks for watching and commenting! Best of luck and continued success on your journey!!

  • @vkhele have you ever came to a stand still in your weight loss? i am 5 weeks as i said but seems im up 2 lbs down 2lbs all week..im not eating junk at all, i have all my protein and water..i cant understand this

  • @garrettmaria74 omg I ran into road blocks all through out my journey. I know how fustrating it can get, but hang in there. Be sure to log your food and any calorie liquids you're drinking to make sure you're not eating too much calories. It'll start to come off soon if it hasn't already :) Keep it up, you can do it!!

  • While losing all of your weight, did you do any strengthening workout routines? I have heard that helps pop back the extra skin... I am 346 pounds and I am considering gastric bypass or a Sleeve Gastrectomy and I don't know what I would do with all my extra skin...

  • @edavis51907 While losing my weight, I did mostly cardio and lifted weights for my triceps and biceps because I knew that was going to be my main problem area. It helped some but they still are bad. I did not do any abs. But, I think majority of ppl who lose more than a 100lbs + have skin. It's almost inevitable. Good luck on your journey. Any exercises u do will only benefit you along the way!!

  • @edavis51907 Working out tones muscle, not skin..I've lost 30lbs by exercising and i allready have loose skin

  • you have sexy legs

  • Thank you so much for sharing. You look fantastic.

  • @dottiemay71 Hi Dottie! Thank you for watching and commenting!!

  • @freshorangina Hey Carey! I've gone for multiple other consultaions with plastic surgeons and their way over priced than Dr Katzen but i'm getting it done no matter the price because i'm tired of covering my arms and it's so HOT! lol I'm hoping i can do my arms and tummy by the end of the year...keep ur fingers crossed for me!

  • @Sarajane3886 Hi Sara! Can u believe it? They don't rub anymore!!! lol i love it and u'll get there soon!!

  • @Mikasbout2bebad thank u! If i could just keep my arms down all the time I wouldn't mind the bat wings so much but i have to raise them and move them once in a while...lol Best of luck to u on ur upcoming surgery! I'm sure u'll do awesome! the sleeve is a great choice to assist u in ur journey!!

  • I think your legs, stomach and even arms (especially when they are down and you are not trying to accentuate that you have excess skin)_look wonderful. I had a c-section with my last child and I too have the stomach flap, but mine is filled to the max with fat...yours is just skin. Walk with pride, you are beautiful!

  • whoa, sorry for the multi-post!

  • @SarahWillBeSkinny Girl, the loose skin is just another part of our journey. We all have it although some more than others. I totally understand being self conscious about it. You're beautiful no matter what! It was great meeting u too in Vegas! Cant wait to do it again!!!

  • I dunno how I didn't see this video... Thank you for this!! Makes me feel better that I'm not the only one out there... It was SOOO great meeting you in Vegas... ♥
