Fila is a mix from old breeds and which is still a bit discussion. Mastiff, bloodhoud, bulldog are siad to be part of fila's origin. But bulldog is not native in Brazil.
@lonerangersheriff We also have malinois and my wife trains policedogs with them. That said a Fila is a good guard dog for your home but I would not really recommend it as policedog, they can be stuborn a bit not to fast but maybe for crowd control they would be great because of their size and mass. On our youtube page I have some video's showing the malinois in ation.
I love how this is just a comparison and not a "whos better" contest, i love both dogs but theyre both fairly rare here in canada, quite expensive id imagine too....
@Taud You are right we made the video just to show the difference. That said Bloodhound is part of the genes that the Fila Brasileiro has so one can see some things from a bloodhound in a fila, the reason we also made this video.
Right, the Fila has bulldog influence, probably native dogs of Brazil too?
